for 1000 dollars i can build a system that fits my needs perfectly
26 dollars for dvd writer.
100 dlrs antec nine hundred two black steel chasis
35 dlr Wireless card from edimax
105dlrs for 4gb of ram ddr3 1600
160 dollar asus p7p55d sata3/usb3
200 dlrs core i5-750 lynnfield
130 dlr 40gb solid state from intel
75 dollar western digital 640gb hard drive
300 dollar saphire radeon hd 5850 with thermaltake tr2 power supply.
all the components i chose are top rated on newegg by costumers. and i really dont know why you would need anything more than 1 radeon 5850. its already rated for exceptional performance on 1980x1280 in the graphic card reviews. reason to choose lynnfield over the best of amd is because although its the same price and practically same or bit better performance, the lynnfield is a much bigger power saver and that makes up for it.
Also i think a ssd is totally worth the money. thats sometimes all you need for your computer to feel like it was worth 2000
that chasis i suggested is not too cheap but not to expensive but it looks cool in my opinion and it appears to be extremely well ventilated. I might even get some things cheaper if i go hunting for them on other sites and ebay making it perhaps cheaper than the 1000 mark.
id also buy a ASUS MS238H screen with it, hdmi & fiber cable, Logitech 920-000914 keyboard, microsoft b7g-00004 mouse(which ive already owned and liked, the one ive had for 2 years i somehow broke the cable and i dont think it will last much longer), Logitech 980186-0403 microphone. i already have some very good 120 dollar (msrp) earphones so i dont need anything else, plus i could always connect the pc to my stereo for use as external speakers if needed.
at the end it will cost me close to 1500 dlrs with the added things but its still cheaper than any other oem. if you realized i like to buy some energy efficient components... i like to help the planet and my electric bill, thats another reason not to buy 2 radeon cards since it will just use more electricity.
