[citation][nom]Dazed69[/nom]I found it funny that guy put a link to ibuynoobpower on a build your own forum, also the editors totally screwed up the 500 dollar system,it won't even work.[/citation]It would be unprofessional to call anyone stupid...so I will instead point to the article where the $500 system was built and tested:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/budget-gaming-pc-phenom-ii-radeon-hd-6850,2903.html
So, either it did work, or the builder is lying. Are you accusing the builder of lying, or are you simply...oh, never mind, I'll just leave that link state my case.

I got a PS2 for sale luis only 300.00 ... funny cburke.

Check out the Power supply on the 500 build !" 380 watt power supply"

HD 6950 needs 450 watts .

I'm available tom for future build tests ect.

Hey crash your link lacks Merritt like your comment .Any builder with half a brain will tell you not to but a cheap PS let alone one lower than your system requirements? These articles are good for starting forum chatter at best, you would have to be a first time builder/noob to buy the exact same parts on here.

How is it that you got this backwards?

[citation][nom]luis1[/nom]Just pulled the trigger on this system.. trumps your 1K system..For 820.00 shipped..http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Special-B/w/62031[/citation]

Um... your build wouldn't perform even close to this 1k build. It has a slower CPU and a slower GPU. On those two parts alone it suffers dramatically.

I built my friend a gaming PC last month that plays the current games at max settings a on a 24" monitor,he wanted a rig that would play SC2 maxed out It cost 725.00 after tax and delivery, granted price didn't include monitor or OS same as your builds. It will OC great and has true 16x2 crossfire potential not mention it's super quiet and cool. This 1000 dollar pc is better but why pay more when last years parts will shred thru todays games just fine.DX 11 is all the upgrade a guy needs for a few years at least.A 5770 with a 955BE on a msi 890fx board will produce 50-60 fps on most new games @ 1900x1200res.

Anything more is just for hobbyist bragging rights really.Future proofing don't work as we all know new tech is always a quarter away so i prefer buying last years quality stuff at affordable prices rather than the newest high priced parts.

If you're happy with medium details, the 5770 can push modern titles at that speed.

With demanding games, the 5770 will slow down a lot if you want high detail settings--and it'd get a lot worse if you want to add AA.

To me high detail is fundamental, not bragging rights... but granted it depends how you look at it.

Im challenging you to play metro 2033 on high details with the 5770 at 1080p and get 60 FPS lol.

[citation][nom]Mlewis03614[/nom]So, why is this system avoiding triple channel memory configuration?[/citation]

Because it's not possible.

LGA 1155 is dual channel, bro. :)
