system freezes too often

I recently installed the geoforce IImx, since then my system crashes at least twice an hour. Any suggestions on how to fix this cause it's becoming so annoying I am about 2 sec from smashing the hell out of it.

I had these exact same symptoms.
I have a Elsa gladiac Ultra, SOYO SY-7VCA, win98se2.
I think it was a problem with the chipset.
Do you have a via chipset also?
I ended up having to load Win 2k, now it works great!

Hmmmm...

I get good stuff with my GTS on win2k, Nes98, and Linux. The 4n1 drivers chapped me for a little while, but the 4.29 and the 4.30 work good.

Sounds like a cranky ACPI/IRQ setting to me.....
