Hi ,
I just faced this issue , I wasn playing MH Wilds on a new rig i just bought and it suddenly hung up during alt tab .
The cursor moved but everything else was frozen.
I restarted the PC and it didnt boot , so i checked it and it shows the CPU light and the DRAM ligh on the mother board ,
I took out the rams and put them in one by one , didnt work , then i opened and checked the CPU for any damage , none .
So i put the cooler back and 1 ram slot , and to my surprise it worked.... ???
then the other ram , worked again .
What is the issue ?
EDIT : I booted and check the bios , and it was reset .
will this happen again ? is there something at fault ? Everything is new bought 3 months ago .
Motherboard Name MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi (MS-7E12)
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
Gskill 16x2 DDR5

While you were doing some troubleshooting, the components had a chance to cool. Perhaps that could be a clue to the problem.

i just checked and the bios was reset ,
i dont think they are over heating , the max temp i checked was 65-70 on load for the CPU
