In 2015 I built a computer for my wife who's a photographer. Components listed below. What are some options for upgrading? We are considering upgrading the board, CPU, GPU, and NVME ssd. We're also interested in upgrading the monitor. She's having some color calibration issues. In 2020 I posted a similar question and the consensus was to wait a few more months as I wouldn't get much improvement with the current lineup of CPU/GPU for the price I'd be paying. I've waited two years instead of a couple of months. Budget=$2500

She's mainly a Lightroom and Photoshop user. She is in these applications for several hours a day. I reinstall the OS (Windows 10) once a year. The system is starting to show it's age and/or Lightroom/Photoshop's requirements are getting steeper.

CPU and Memory are not taxed but I am constantly hearing that Lightroom is slow. Sometimes, lately, the thing randomly reboots while she's using it.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK ATX LGA1150 Motherboard REV 1.1
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 32GB (4 x 8GB) DIMM 1866 MHz PC3-15000 DDR3 SDRAM
OS Drive: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive 2x
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 290 4GB TWIN FROZR

Monitor: Dell U2913WM 60Hz 29.0

Solution
Would need to do some research into color accuracy of 34" 21:9 monitors.

(this will depend on her usage) I wonder about just using the IGP on the CPU?

Assuming reusing case, HDDs. If no dGPU, could re-use the PSU.

How old is the PSU?

A little over, but with GPU pricing as it is, it is a bit difficult. You can use cuda acceleration, with Nvidia cards. The monitor I have on here came from a best monitors for photo editing, on techradar.
