[SOLVED] task manger don't show all ram

Please Help Why is Task manager only displaying 5 gb of ram instead of 8gb ram i have 2 4 gb ram sticks in my pc and my bios is detecting them

Do you have a laptop with integrated graphics?

No. it's a pc but still only integrated graphics
btw. forgot to put my os is Ubuntu 18.04

Because the graphics are integrated they don't have dedicated vram, so they use up part of your own ram in order to work well. Like for me, I have 16gb ram, but only 14gb is usable.
