Help me please , i am in the process of ordering parts for a new 1.33ghz t-bird(AHYJA stepping) running retail heatsink/fan and i already have a case with a 300w Codegen 300XA power supply. Here is the what the label reads :
---------------------------------------------------
Codegen Model : 300XA ATX 2.01

100-120 VAC 7.5a 50/60 HZ
200-240 VAC 3.5a 50/60 HZ

+5v +12v -5v -12v +5V58
25A 10A 0.5a 0.5a 1a

300W
----------------------------------------------------

I know that 2 codegen models are listed on the AMD recommended list(including model 300XX) but my model isn't listed, but i figure with the provided power information someone can judge if it'll work ok or not. I'm on a very tight budget and I dont want to buy a new PSU if i don't have to. I plan on going with a shuttle ak31 rev 3.1 with 128mb-256mb of DDR to start out due to high memory prices. Any help would be appreciated, especially someone with experience with this model.I will be running 1 9.6gb HDD , FDD, CD-ROM and 8x CD-RW drive, and 100mb ZIP drive, nothing overly special. I am worried that there won't be enuff power to cpu cooling solution and blow the processor up if i just test it myself.....and don't plan on o/c'n Thank you!

You have a lot of amps on the 5 and 12V line so I don't think you will get out of power, and otherwise you CPU fan wont be the first thing that stops spinning. If your powersupply can't handle it your system will crash if you're doing heavy work or it wont even boot (with a very low wattage PSU).
I should gif it a try, as long as you mount your CPU and heatsink right you should be OK.

Good luck.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground 😱 .
