Alright, I recently installed a cap kit on a 19inch WG4600. I'll
admit that although I did a great job with the replacing of the
capacitors, I was pretty sloppy when it came to making sure where each
wire plugged into where. After I did the cap kit, I plugged everything
back into where I thought it should be. The only thing I did not plug
in was labeled "J". In fact, I mistakenly put that cable into the
place labeled "M".
I fired it up and got nothing. No pops or blown out capacitors but
still nothing. The neck wasn't glowing so I realized something wasn't
right. I realized that the wire labled "J" was in the wrong spot and I
put it into the right place.
When I fired it up again, all I got was a solid blue screen. I turn
the blue down and it did nothing. I powered down and made sure things
weren't amiss. When I plugged it back in, it was green. Then it
became flickering and now occasionally "snaps" or "pops" slightly and a
flash of white surrounded by red, green and blue occasionally happens.
Any ideas? I will probably take the entire thing out and make sure the
polarity of my caps were right but I wanted to get your opinion. If
you have an idea, reply or e.mail me at jake dot vanorder at gmail dot
com.
Thanks in advance.
