Is anyone else finding this thread as humorous as I am? It's especially ironic when you consider that all of us have been using computers in order to communicate our distaste for too much technology! :) Ah, well, we do the best with what we're given & hope to make some small dent in the world, right?!

Technology does not make us smarter, but rather more aware (more information). If anything I would say that technology hinders a lot of critical thinking skills. Are you stuck on homework problem set? Just look it up online, chances are you'll find the answer. Yes, you can sort of "reverse engineer" the answer to figure out how it's done, but your brain never when through that critical task of going through every which method to figure out the answer on its own. Critical thinking skills come with practice and time, but technology has made us impatient and too used to immediate gratification.

At least someone agrees with me.Technology today is producing more lazy and non communicative people than years ago when I was growing up.Their memory is their cell phones and computers.Sad indeed.
