So I have become a little woriied about me temperatures lately. I see people with Temps that look real low and they are not happy with them so i get scared and post a thread.

My GPU (GTX 260) gets down to about 53C with the fan on full and nothing but Internet Explorer. Under lightish load (Folding@Home) is goes to about 65 and then stays. 100% fan all the time. Its not overclocked.

My CPU (Q6600) is something like 38C with just Explorer. The fan is on auto though and it is the stock cooler. With Folding@Home, wich should be GPU centric, it goes to 43C. Not overclocked.

My mobo (Gigabyte DS3l) is 45C, no load.

I've got a Coolermaster Centurion 590 which is pretty roomy. One HDD one disk drive and two 1Gb sticks of ram. Bottom mounted Corsair 650W PSU. Two 120mm case fans, one in front bottom and one top back. I've also got two more fans in the mail and intend to get a Hyper TX2 CPU cooler and do a little overclocking in the future.

Should I be worried about anything? Do you guys need more info before you can form an opinion? Any help is awesome. Please ease my mind.

GPUs are made to get hot. They can stand all the way up to past 100C (although then I would worry). You are fine on that front.

If you could post some 100% load temps (running 32M hyperPi is one way to load) I can get a better idea of what is going on. 38C load doesn't seem to bad though.

These temps are pretty normal for air setups. I think it is mostly people who have gone deaf from fan noise and those that live in Antarctica that usually brag about their air cooling temps 😛.

LOL no don't buy that thermometer. Spending $300 on that thing to monitor your temperatures is the dumbest thing I have heard suggested on these forums in a very long time.

Don't worry about your temps, they are all within reason, although I would buy a good thermal interface besides the one that comes with that cooler like AC Silver 5 or MX-2. Once you get your Aftermarket cooler and two more case fans in there your temps will be just fine.
