So recently I acquired a i7-8086k from a friend who's upgrading. My question is is it okay to to use my stock Intel cooler for the time being untill I can upgrade to a evo 212 or is it best if I just keep looking at it untill I can upgrade. Thank you in advance i also plan on doing zero overclocking.

Solution
I would recommend disabling turbo boost in the meantime too, run the processor at base clocks only.
Should be fine then, the 8086k does not run very hot on its own.

If you don't OC it and don't mind somewhat higher temps (but within reason) it should be fine.
