whenever my desktop gets cluttered with many open windows, like ie, i like the quick click "show desktop" button in the quick launch tray to reorganize, or even just to find somthing on the desktop quick. On win 7 its a stupid locked, almost camouflaged button way over at the bottom right of the screen, which annoying on a 40" screen lol. I'm a big fan of the quicklaunch tray, and when i quick click the ie icon, i want a new instance of ie to open asap. In win 7 i have to right click and scan through the menu choices to find the open ie choice. this is absolutely annoying for me.

I'd like win 7 better if they had an xp mode where everything interfaced like xp. but then, what would be the point of win 7 at all, for an average user, dx11?

@zambutu: You don't need to use Windows explorer. There are other shell replacements around. Although I wouldn't trust them as much, since they don't get the proper testing that Windows Explorer does. In fact, the second most popular *nix desktop environment, KDE, can also be run on Windows. The project is rather small though, and I am not sure how well it works.

As for the show desktop button, I prefer it where it is now. I no longer have to look to see where I'm putting my mouse, I just throw it into the lower right corner and click. Fitt's Law people, Fitt's Law.

Using 7600 and seeing the activate windows screen whenever i startup (it has been removed now but the text at the bottom right is still there). No shutdowns and this only started once i updated on Windows Update.

DO NOT USE WINDOWS UPDATE TO UPDATE WINDOWS 7
