I've grown to be tolerant of the Windows 7 start menu, despite originally believing I would only ever like the classic option. I guess this is because I mainly have all the apps I use commonly use pinned to my taskbar and only use the Start button to access Search/Run and shutdown.
I guess the need for a start button is becoming more and more redundant, so it makes only sense it should be streamlined to follow suit. I'm not saying I like it, but it makes some sense and I will probably end up growing tolerant of it too. Complicated Program Files trees are difficult to use with touch-based devices anyways, and a lot of things are going touch, so cest la vie.
