He started being extra afraid of driving right after his accident. He was always afraid of driving. Me and him, we had the same driving instructor, and I would always ask how his he doing with this lessons, and the instructor would always tell me about how he's trying to push him to simple tasks, like front and back parking, 3 point turn, parallel parking, and driving on the main roads.

Honestly, I think he's overreacting, and can drive properly, but he makes excuses.

Accidents scare alot of people and affect people differently. When I rolled my prelude, I had no issue driving to school the very next day, or anything like that. My friend Gabe on the other hand, had an accident that was not his fault, and he couldn't even drive passed the same spot for weeks.

Yeah, accidents can change people, but there's a point of time where you can forget about it, and move on. The accident on my friend, it was his fault (Was in the way of a car) this was....a year ago?

That's good. This is still a very common issue with fastrak, ezpass, etc. You just have you mount it outside the car. It has to do with the coated glass.

Most people are using zipties to mount them in the engine bay.

My G35 has homelink. It sends the signal from outside the cabin so there is no interference.

@Tiny It wasn't organized. Cop sirens everywhere, and no barriers or anything(at least as far as I could tell when I was walking and cars went by). Point being idiot drivers.
Did I ever mention the kid who had a Masarati for his first car? I did... I'd rather have a beater than that car(or similar supercar) for a few reasons.
1)Getting Keyed
2)Insurance
3)Insurance
4)Gas Milage
5)Maintenance costs.
And yes, Insurance needs to be there twice.

My issue is the destruction of public and private property. Not to mention the dangers to people not associated with it. It's reckless...

Racing needs to be done on a track and not some road in a very populated city. Bad things happen which can be mitigated when done through the proper channels.

Well I dont think he wants to put it outside...ew....everyday he is trying to find a good spot for it to work so on his way back from work today he will test somewhere else....lol might aswell open the sunroof and just carry it up.. sticking it on the sunroof would be ugly and limit the ability to open it...I mean HE CAN do it in the rear glass as its a pano roof but that may still not work...hmm

I lucked out on my first cars. I think I learned to drive in my mom's Toyota 4Runner, the year was likely 2001 when this was happening. Probably a '98/99' 4Runner. Pretty basic model but a nice car, then around when I got my license my dad let me ride out the lease in this Ford F-250 that actually had the body of that year's F-150 so it was light with a big engine. The reason my dad ditched it was because he backed up on a palmetto tree on a jobsite with his driverside door open and put some nice creases on the hinge side of the door. He bought a new truck. (Ford F-150 Heritage Edition) That was a cool truck, I think it was right before the two-tone Harley Edition trucks came out, same idea though. ANYWAY

I got to drive that truck for almost a year and it was fast and nice, eventually I had to give it back. My dad took me to his friend's used car lot and they had this pewter 98' Chevy Blazer, 4.3 Vortec V6 engine. It was awesome, and my dad was really into the price and very graciously bought it for me. Good times, my dad was awesome, I'm really going to miss him.

So it's one thing if you just get a family hand-me-down that happens to be a nice car, I just don't agree with parents buying a phat Benz for their 16yo daughter because she just passed her permit exam. Although who am I to judge, if you have it spend it I suppose.

Stick - It was just a joke - the FTYPE. 😛 I am so persuading, aren't I?! 😛 Yeah...my R4...Gosh I want that thing badlyyyy. Anyway trust me, Im not getting a nice first car.....or a first car ANYTIME SOON! About my cousin getting a red convertible merc...yeah I dont thing it was a benz but its because shes super smart and goes to UCSD and had over a 4.0 in HS....Thats why...And it wasnt for her 16th bday...idk maybe a bit more. HER SISTER got dat A4 2011 - God, My first car is never going to be as nice :/ But whatever...my dad said if I get a 2400 on the SAT and straight A's for all of HS from now on I get a car 😀 Either one, but thats NOT happening haha.

The thing about me is, I know this sounds really bad, but I cant live with a bad car. Sure now, Id take anything, but because im kinda, in a sense when it comes to cars, messed up because I want a nice car. What drives me to get good grades and have a lot of money in the future is the fact that I want a nice car....and Im thinking like A7 nice, Tesla nice, etc etc. I just wanna learn how to drive first. My brothers first car - hes 23, Is an AUDI A4 2002 and he loves it. It is used. I just fear Im gonna get a really old ugly honda lol but i know you guys will call be spoiled for that but i really just love a nice car....OH WELL. We'll see! Hopefully we will all be talking to each other long enough to find out! haha

I wasn't talking about your cousins, just in general. But you can get a cheap car that's still nice. And you can always put in your own time and even money on upgrades for your used car to make it your own and nicer/faster/etc. That's the way to go. Get a used car, learn how to drive it, maintain it, modify it, etc. It's like instead of starting out with your parent's old C2D desktop, they just buy you a 5960X with 64GB of 3200MHz RAM and Quad SLI 980's, but you don't know how to install Windows yet. That's what I'm talking about.

An old ugly Honda can be made REALLY fast for a small (relatively) amount of money. My old ugly Prelude made 360whp on 100% junkyard parts and a mail order ECU tune. I do understand that your meaning of nice and my meaning of nice are different things. People think my G35 is nice, because its really clean, and is an Infiniti, and has a nice stereo setup, and has nice wheels. To me it is nice because it makes 150hp more than stock.

Same with my Honda. To most it was just an older Honda and nothing special. But it made 360whp and embarrassed mustangs, camaros, etc. and to me, that made it nice.

A car is all what you make it. It doesn't have to be a Tesla or an A7 or any fake-rich base BMW or Benz to me nice.

I would rather see a kid in a civic with a motor swap or a mk4 GTI with a K04 turbo upgrade or a beat f-body camaro with a used blower than the same kid in some automatic audi, Mercedes, or lexus. Shows the difference between people who "like" cars and people who are actually into cars.

lmfao. Lol, I'll be fine with the old TL and a navi mod... Our Navi needs and update and the disk itself is like 120. Meh, maybe add a body kit and some tuning and boom, I'll blow the pants off the other "fast" cars here.

Oops, I meant adding some aftermarket mods(who would make these, GOOGLE to the rescue)... and new exhaust tips cause DAMN ARE THE STOCK ONES UGLY. I think some side shirts and front/back bumpers would make it look really nice. To each his own.
