The only thing I'd be concerned about with the Gigabyte is whether or not I'd have to remove any HD cages from my case if I got the 3X model.

Exactly. My HD7970 is a WF3 model. I love the cooler, but I need to turn the drive cage sideways to get it in my case, which partly blocks the airflow.

I'm a big EVGA fan, although I've read that the Gigabyte offers slightly better cooling. I'm really interested in the GTX 960 being released and the possibility of a GTX 960ti would be cool too.

That sounds pretty awesome, I'd love to try that some time.

Yes I did. My dad and bro were in the back..SO LOTS OF PRESSURE LOL. The instructor said sorry guys no embarrassing moments for you to make fun of him about lol. Lots of videos and pics but Im in them, i have a picture of the plane alone. Ill send it in a few minutes.

The dude in this picture is the instructor. Nice 54 year old dude. Also, I think my dad is considering lessons for me 😀

Where has Lutfij been BTW??? I also havent seen JimTheNagual who has an amazing PC and also Nukemaster....where did they all go. A bunch of other dudes too....I know they are all still on here, some even today, but they should stop by on here....this is the only thread I use....Once I get my PC back, Ill start answering, reading more threads and also asking questions about PCs and stuff.....

Sucks that my pc can't exactly run games at high settings w/ triple montiors at 40+ fps. It feels so weird going back to one monitor for a smoother gameplay experience... Also, since my side to monitors are tn (not ips for sure) the colors are so off from my center one it looks weird. At this point I just finished saving up enough for a mechanical keyborad, and after that a gtx 960 or 970 then 2 more of these asus 23" ips displays will be on my upgrade list.

Lutfij is about; he's been doing Mod stuff like squishing vermin. I haven't seen Jim lately either.
I'm trying to convince myself it's ok to go for a major upgrade, although my primary reason (I want Sonic Radar so I can tell direction of sound) may not be enough to justify the expense.

I'm here, I'm here! :bounce:

I always keep an eye on this thread, just haven't posted in a while. I just moved back to Japan a little more than a month ago, and things have been kind of hectic. The good thing is, moving means building a new system! I posted in the other member thread, but here's what I've got going on this time.

Yes, one of the GPUs is an SSC and one is just an SC. Found a good deal on the extra SC and couldn't resist.

Wow, that is very impressive. I would love to get a dual GTX 970 setup, currently lack the cash to be able to do so.

MDBA,
I'm about as Onus has stated :) and FYI I'm subbed to this thread so I do get a glimpse of what's being shared...just haven't had the time to reply to most of them and the sad bit is the vermin are taking pretty much all of my time.

Nevertheless, Its really cool to see you take flight in that thing! How was it flying your first plane (albeit forget about the instructor helping you out)?

Jim,
FOOF nice blue build. Sleeved cables are custom made or EVGA bundled kit? Oh btw how's Japan at this time of the year? I apparently love Sakura's and I think the time when they shed their flowers is near...?

Onus,
if you get a 4:1/5:1 setup you wouldn't need sonic radar and it does take up system resources - but that's me :)

I wish I had the patience to do custom sleeving. They're corsair's bundle set.

I'm in Tokyo and it's still pretty cold. About 5c today. Sakura will come to Tokyo in about April, and yes, they are absolutely amazing to see. There is a large park by where I live (I'm near Shibuya station for those who know Tokyo) where people gather in the spring and sit under the cherry blossom trees and get stinking drunk. Loads of fun!

I've just been laden with some sleeving material. I'll need to amass some more funds to get the entire boat load of connectors and heatshrink as well as tools of the trade. If things take flight sooner, I'll be sure to have pics standby! :)

Shibuya - any drift events there?

Jim - Ah going with the BLUE scheme now huh? Gosh thats such a nice build. Your PCs never fail to impress.

Lutfij - It was great! But to be honest the instructor wasnt really going that much. He Only had his hand on the yoke ONCE to help my with the first turn as i wasnt banking enough, after that the only things he controlled was some rudder cause im not sure how to use the rudder in air, i taxi'd though! And he did the throttle, which ofc is a huge thing but Im not ready for it, and the flaps are easy I could have done them but he did them. I did the flying basically.

Onus - STOP holding yourself back. Its been too long, you will love making a new build!! I get the sonic radar part, you told be about this once, you're deaf in one ear right? You said you'd take an ASUS or an MSI that has nice audio but is your point that its too pricy or? I HAD A DREAM ABOUT MY PC LAST NIGHT...WHICH I WAS WEIRD...i WAS BUILDING IT AND standing on carpet...erm.....Um, really?
