Speaking of money.. The swapper I am supposed to give 280 for the mobo, cpu, ram, and case, doesn't have a paypal account. However, he claims you can still send money through paypal and he can retrieve it. So will I be able to open a dispute if he closed his account? Or should I do the direct pay thing via a credit card and just charge back if necessary.

Don't send money unless he has a verified PayPal account. When you verify you have to link a bank account, credit card and a phone number and they do a good job of making sure you are who you say you are. Not verified means he could be a scammer. Not necessarily but much more easily than if he was verified.

My mom gave the green light... Kinda...
I showed her the card on newegg(cheapest price anywhere) and she called the guy who does worko n the registers and cameras at the school. 30 seconds later, my mom said ok, since he buys from newegg as well(he said it ne-weg, which made me laugh....).... We'll see what she says later tonight.... If yes, my friend said he would buy me GTA V for a late birthday gift... Which, despite numerous videos and posts saying, a dual core works decently, probably won't run.

Erm, this should work with 16-18 amps right? I did the Calculations, and I end up at 180 watts on load with both CPU and GPU.... Can someone double check my work? I figure that if a 750 ti should run, then this CAN RUN

What If I did it through a credit card in case I need to chargeback? s a redditor for 4 years I presume.

Hey guys, I drove from walmart to the house today on surface streets and thats like 4.5 miles which lights, traffic, turns, and intersections.

My mom said i did great. So now whenever she wants to go shopping anywhere, ill be the driver :)

What a bad day.....my Nexus 5's screen has stopped working. I had a open crack on it for a while, and the cable for the screen was on top of the glass. I tried putting the cable back under the glass, I think the glass cut it, and now the display won't turn on.

Oh well, I'll just look for a new phone. Hopefully tomorrow, I should have one. Really need one for work.

Oh man, I would get a Nexus 6 in a heartbeat. But the price for one on contract is $179, and the 1440p display is making me scratch my head. I have a feeling I won't notice the differences between 1080p, and 1440p on a phone, and not worth the extra battery usage it'll eat up, but then again, it has a huge battery.

Or I can buy one unlocked, for $699 lol.....

Honestly, I have no idea. I've only noticed the cable was on top of the glass 2 weeks ago.

Yeah... I would have done plastidip just in case I screw up. Or never do it at all

Alright noob question. Do I get the drivers and install them before or after putting the new GPU in? And should I uninstall the Intel ones or what?

I would wait till you have the GPU first before you install or uninstall any drivers. When you get it, put it in the PC, and install the latest from the brands website, restart PC, and boom....you're set.

That's what I thought. I'd just disable the Intel gpu from BiOS and in the system right? Trying not to screw my computer up on the first addition.

I don't remember a lot when I had that config with my intel CPU, but I just plugged in my monitor to the video card, and it should automatically disable the intel igpu. I didn't disable anything from the bios, and it worked fine for me.

Which card did you end up with? R7 250?

Here's a tip: Do not get GTA V with that PC. It will run miserably. When I had my A6 5400k I searched for the best optimized games and only played those because anything else would be unplayable. Major stuttering, dips, or low fps. Just Cause 2, Max Payne 3, GRID, Batman Arkham city, Mirror's Edge, and Tomb Raider are a few titles that ran great with it.

I thought that looked kind of odd for a desktop motherboard, guess it's back to the drawing board. I definitely don't want to pay $300 for the Asus Z77 motherboards that I saw on eBay.

Just got back from seeing Mission:Impossible Rogue Nation. Awesome flick.

Might need to do some stuff in the BIOS like disable secure boot and enable legacy boot. These things are required for adding a GPU to most prebuilt computers. I'll post a link for how to do it later. I have had to do it many times.

There ya go!

Yeah, I'm a little worried since this is an OEM machine. I think I will get the card Wednesday or Thursday since I am about an hour and a half away from one of their warehouses... At the latest is next Monday, not tomorrow Monday, but school Monday ;(

Not sure I want to get a motherboard that doesn't have a backplate or accessories included.

I did find this Zotac board on Ava Direct - worth taking a closer look?
