That a4 was clearly modified and has since been put back to stock so you know it was beat. It has 109k miles and no mention of a timing belt change, so that has to be done NOW or the car WILL be totaled soon. $1500 minimum as the motor has to come out. It uses the junk 0j2 auto trans which is probably on it's way out, especially if it was driven hard. I would NOT buy that. It is easily a $9000 once you sort out all the issues and then it will still be an unreliable 10 year old slow audi. Terrible option for 5k in my opinion.

The escape is trash. Not that example specifically, but in general that generation is crap. Terrible engine that eats headgaskets, clunky transmission that has valve body issues, leaky steering racks on basically every singe one that exists. With 143k on it, that car is completely used up. Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

In this price range you need to be looking at cars that were cheaper when new. Civic, Accord, Camry, Carolla, Maxima, Altima. Forget Euros completely.

Usually they go at like 150k or so. I have seen them go sooner and last longer though. It simply is a weak point and no one services them like they are supposed to. Honestly I would probably buy something else. If you see a car with a CVT for sale that is very clean and priced under book value, you can almost guarantee a mechanic told them the CVT is on its way out and to sell the car.

Done. I have been waiting for a board like that to show up on eBay forever!

Now all I need is the case and PSU and I am ready to do this thing! Now if only Silverstone would hurry up and release the RVZ02 I'd be set! :fou:

My first Elantra, a 2002 model, was trouble-free; I'd buy a used one if I needed a beater.
I wouldn't touch a Lemon (disguised as a Neon); in fact probably not any Chrysler product. GM went bankrupt for a reason. I've had three Escorts that were decent enough for the short time I had them. The last one had a crappy paint job though. I'm not sure something that old would be a good risk though.

I've also got an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 I could let go for the $90 - $100 range now that I have the Zotac.

After hearing about how easily Chrysler cars can be hacked, I'm not touching one with a 10 foot pole. Which is a shame because I love the look of the new model 200.

Am I allowed to post on something so old? Mostly because that system is sweeeet, but may not be the same as it was back then...

No chance, if it was a low miles all original twin turbo 6-speed car without t-tops it could actually be worth that much.

You'll NEVER buy a real supra for anything close to 10k. 25k gets you in the door looking at beater non-turbo automatic models.

The cheapest mk4 supra on my local craigslist is $35k and its an auto.
