^^
I had a good laugh...

I should be stripping down my case tomorrow... Hopefully, depends on how sore I am from today... SAT, and then 30 minutes later a 4 1/2 hour ACADEC scrimmage, followed by studying...

Gold. First color of choice worldwide for pimps, and executives. :)

Don't forget rappers!

Yeah I'm glad I didn't spring the extra money for the Luxe. I figured with the difference I saved I'll put that money into an NZXT Hue+ and the fan controller I want to get.

So here's the pics that I promised:

It's a Cryorig R1 Ultimate. I really like this cooler - it's a lot smaller than my D14 and it was incredibly easy to disassemble and reinstall. The fans that were included are Cryorigs, but I'm thinking of getting a couple of more Cougars to match the fans I have installed in the top and exhaust.

That's the one.

How are temps compared to the D14?

Well with the D14 I'm getting around 37'C - 41'C but that processor is overclocked to 4.0GHz. I haven't done much overclocking with this PC yet so it's kind of hard to compare temps right now.

-Per FrozenCPUs website... are they coming back? (dramatic music)

also looks like my dvd drive died... If I can't pix it, I'm pulling it out, and going to actually attempt to source a few fans to put in that bay to help with temps a bit... seeing as it hovers right by the CPU. I also need to install the CPU cooler, I haven't gotten around to that yet.

They've been dropping inventory, and have had phone call in only for a while now despite only recently posting that message. Considering the number of sites that have been dropping like flies, I wouldn't be surprised if they just faded away. It's too bad too. As we've been discussing in a moderator thread, there are a lot of tech sites being driven out of business by Amazon and the Egg. Unfortunately, they don't carry what most of these smaller sites carry, so it's going to be harder and harder to find things that are not high volume sellers.

First they drove the smaller brick and mortar retailers out of business, and now they're working quickly to do the same to the rest of the small online retailers. They just can't compete on volume items, and they can't make enough money on the infrequent one here and one there items. You had to know this day was coming clear back when the original geeks.com went under.

Well yeah look at what's happening to Tiger Direct. They've been taken over by liquidators and their inventory is dwindling by the minute. It's like dominoes - one falls, then the next falls, then the next falls... and so on and so forth.

Tigerdirect has almost nothing left in stock if you actually look through what they have in each category. Almost all that's left is crap that nobody wants. They have ONE case. ONE prebuilt system. TWO old processors. ZERO motherboards. Tigerdirect is dead. It's over. Seriously, you can just scratch them off the list now as all they're doing now is just getting rid of the last few bits and pieces.
