Anyone else having trouble playing Metro LL? Everytime i try to play it for some reason it locks up. DayZ also. Only dayZ its just the video i can still hear my character moving around if i press the buttons on the keyboard however metro locks up completely. Im confused here. I though maybe my 2nd harddrive was going bad so i reinstalled steam and those 2 games on my ssd and still same thing. I updated my gpu drivers and no dice. Anyone got a clue? I did catch a gpu graphic driver error. Says the driver crashed and recovered. But then any game i try to play crashes. I have to restart after the first driver crash in order to get into bf4.

i have the latest everything. Shortly after that last post i figured maybe my 2nd hdd that was my games drive was going bad so i tried installing steam and those games on my ssd. No luck so i thought maybe disconnect my 2nd drive and i happened to hop into my bios just to do a look over. I say my stuff was back in ide mode i guess from when i reset my bios a week or so ago so i went back to the other setting for ssd and then all of the sudden my pc would not boot. I tried everything i could possibly think of an nothing but crash crash crash. Then it woul just go to a cmd promt/dos type screen and say the boot file was missing. So i reinstalled windows with the 2nd hdd removed and reinstalled all my programmes and so far it looks good. 4 hours of bf4 down and as of RIGHT this second im booting up metro. BRB let ya know what the results are.

guys, I know this might be off topic, but, my dads work laptop.. he wants me to take files and put it on a USB (note the job gave him the laptop and we have to return it soon) but its so loaded with perms that it wont allow me to even move a file to the desktop...any ideas?

Are you trying to do this when the machine is on a network? About all I can suggest that would not run afoul of rules against hacking / cracking advice is to run it standalone and see if you have greater access. The restrictions may have been imposed by Group Policy in order to protect the corporate network, and would not apply when it is operating independently.

Get the right perms, Im guessing its on a Domain?

I got an idea "mod" for my case.

I know how to engrave on a CAD program. Since I work for my father and brother, who own a machine shop, I have access to CNC machines. I did ask my teacher to teach me how to transfer a picture to my program, and take the side panel, and engrave a picture into to it. That's the panel that hides my wires, and inside will have LEDs, so the engraving will grow up in the night. Prolly going to use the NZXT hue leds since I can hook it up to my power supply.

The picture I want to use is the MSI branding dragon, that they put with their motherboards and GPUS. Since I have a MSI motherboard 😀

The other panel, I'll make the window much bigger, so I can actually see the inside of my case. (Sadly, nzxt put a tiny i At the moment, I'll be planning it. Tomorrow I should know how to put the picture into Mastercam x7, and I'll have some pictures on the progress. I'm really excited for this, hopeful it'll work out.

Great news, I got my PIC on mastercam, and it looks good!

The tool I'll prolly use is a 1/8 center drill, or 1/4.

The other panel needs some work, so I'll have to bring them to my shop tmo and measure them. For the window panel, I'm prolly going to use a 1/4 flat endmill to rough out a area, and then a 3/8 flat endmill to give it a finish. Then going to use a 3/8 spot drill to give it a chamfer to make it look nice.

Imma give my PC a female name :3 so I can engrave the name below windowed panel boarder.

If anyone has any names suggestions, feel free to hit me up with some.

I'll have a pic up today, on my phone atm

Yep. My Gypsy rig pulls around 117W from its UPS; at 80% efficiency that means the system is using only 94W. That's just when surfing though; I would expect it to be another 30W-40W higher when gaming.
Manufacturers overstate requirements in the attempt (sometimes futile) to account for the liar-labeled junk PSU-shaped objects still being sold (e.g. Apevia, Logisys, Diablotek).

This is so damn true.

I mean I ran a 5770(recommends 450) on a 300 watt FSP(basic system N55N USB3/I5 750/8 gigabytes of memory/1 x 3.5 inch drive and 2 x 2.5 inch drives/) unit for over a year that same system now runs with a GTX 650ti(more quiet and lower power when watching videos.). It going on about 4 years non stop(restart for updates or cleaning).

Click for a larger image, just over 170 watts near MAX load.

This is not to say that you should get the same cards in the same system, all the parts are picked for generally low power.

Damn, my demo mastercam I have on my PC sucks, I can't put my planned pics. And did some toolpaths with it, and no kidding when a gaming card doesn't properly 3D it.

Looks like i'll have to work on it on my other computer, my workstation. It's got a quadro, so it'll show me properly.
