Because you built a new computer. It would be pointless to buy an OLDER CPU (ivy/sandy bridge).

If you are starting from scratch ALWAYS go as new and current as possible. If you said "hey I have an 1155 z77 motherboard, we would have recommended you get an i5 3570k instead of wasting money on a new motherboard. BUT, because you started from scratch, it would not make any sense to buy something old.

Im just giving you a hard time. Plus, I bought the parts in november, and we started searching in june when haswell was new :)

Do you like my profile picture? Made it 100x100...made it kinda squashy.

I love yours. I saw a G35 the other day. Looks better than I thought!

""Doing the clutch/flywheel ""

Dont know what that is but sounds good! I would ask what it does, but that would be offtopic. Feel free to PM ME.

Its alto to explain to someone who is not car savvy. lol.

In short: an aftermarket clutch means you can be rougher with clutch drops and bang between gears faster without worrying about damaging the clutch. An aftermarket clutch is also designed to hold more power than a stock clutch which is nice if you do engine modifications. An aftermarket lightweight flywheel allows the engine to rev up much faster and reduces rev-hang between shifts. It always allows for faster shifting. Youtube can teach you what all this means.

Lol an aftermarket clutch/flywheel would likely make no difference in a corolla at all and be a waste of money. If it stays nice out the next few days I'll break out the video camera and go slide around some parking lots and exit ramps.

Yeah that was just a joke 😛 Hopefully it stays nice out so you can show us.

DDR12 ram. Back on topic 😛 I really need to improve my cable management....I can show you a pic if you want but I wish there was a grommet at the bottom. More zipties wont help. Dunno what to do.

Well....I need tips on how to route them and stuff in this air 540....Ill post a pic of mine here in a few. Give me 20-30 min cause I gotta charge my phone...maybe you can tell me where I should route this and that cable etc.

MDBA, run the audio cable up under the motherboard and then pop it out right at the header to plug it in.

For the Y cable, wrap it around the motherboard heatsinks so the slack is taken up and it ends right at the plug. Look at my picture. My h60 has a 8" cable coming right out of the water block and I have it wrapped around the block itself and you cant even barely see it.

Ok well I moved the audio cable under the mobo. Thats good. But the Y cable I cant move over the heatsink or else it will rip cause its connected to two fans and one of those fan cables hang from the top of the case :/ Whatever. Ill try again soon.

I think the devils canyon could be promising. If the 4770k had more headroom to clock without the heat issues it would have been sweet. Haswell-e to be x99 chipset and ddr4? Why release a z97 chipset then a few months later a x99 chipset? What am i missing here.
