I think Hyundai owns KIA, shouldn't they be in the same pace? How's the Hyundai you drive? I'm not sure if Hyundai is reliable, even today. But they have a lot of features for being a cheaper car. Sorry for asking lol, because we mostly drive Honda made cars in my family.

The Santa Fe is my third Hyundai. The first two were an Elantra GT and an Elantra Touring. Neither had remarkable issues. In use, both had fuel economy better than the EPA estimates (I don't have a lead foot). Seems to me I had some minor warranty work done on the first one, but don't remember what it was. They were really trouble-free. Both were involved in non-injury wrecks caused by the other person (two for the first). The interiors were decent and didn't tear up, although in fairness only adults were in them (my wife and I). Amenities are great, like the heated seats, USB ports for MP3 playback, SiriusXM radio w/touch screen, backup camera, tire-pressure monitors, rear power outlets (I think the Touring had one also, but I don't remember on the GT). All that stuff does not require the electronics package, which adds a bigger touch screen and navigation.
The worst thing I can say about the GT is that the driver-side headlight was a chore to replace, being accessible only from underneath, from an angle that didn't let you see what you were doing with the one hand that would fit. The Touring didn't lose a light in >4 years.
I did not neglect either one, and they got oil changes, tires, and batteries at needful intervals.

I'm renting an Elantra right now while my car is in the shop - not bad, I like it - it's surprisingly roomier than I thought, it's on par with my brother's new Civic. The only thing I don't like is I'm not used to having a key, and I miss the backup camera. :lol:

I believe you can get the backup camera in the Elantra now, but it would be in one of the few extra-cost packages. Those cars are remarkably well-equipped considering how low on the totem pole of Hyundai's line-up they sit.

Yeah I'm really liking this rental, it's way better than the Jeep they gave me at first. I would definitely entertain getting a Sonata or a Cadenza for my next car.

The Sonata is higher up. I had one as a replacement after one of the wrecks of the Elantra GT. It's the first one I had with heated seats, and I decided I really liked that (even though I live in TN). It also had a smoother, quieter ride.

Which package, and which car? I got few add-ins on any of them. If you mean the Santa Fe, I wanted the 6 cylinder engine with automatic (I would tear up a manual due to left-side timing issues now. I did well enough with one way back in driver ed long before I became open-minded), AWD, and a class-III hitch, but I think everything else I mentioned was standard. Of course, the SiriusXM is a 3-month trial, although I've decided to extend it (I like 40s on 4, from an era in which music had talent in it).
It also has bluetooth, which is paired with my phone for hands-free operation.
I'd have to look, but I think I paid around $32K for it.

Also my nexus 4 broke, and the nexus 6 is SO AMAZING but its way to big, so as for a phone...I have 180 and Im forced to buy an iphone 5...white...16 gb from my brother.....he got it for me and is selling it for me, he never used it, so I dont want him to waste his money....but iphone...ew 🙁

Well before I order the BIOS chip, I thought of an idea and I'm not sure if this could be true or not.

When my system was working it would boot to windows, but when I tried opening an application such as google chrome, or running a game, it would crash shortly after. Could this be due to a bad PSU?

What if my system is crashing when I try to update the BIOS because of a bad PSU? Is that a possibility?

Well, today my computer changed yet again...

My GF picked up Watchdogs and decided her 7850 was not cutting it. So, she got one of my 660ti's and I got her 7850. I placed an ad on another forum and within 20 mins someone from NY with a 7850 got the deal of his life and agreed to swap me for my other 660ti. Today the 7850 came in and I not have two in CF. No driver issues like everyone complains about so far, so we will see how it goes.

Do the 7850's perform a bit worse than the 660ti's did? Yeah. Do I care? No. My girlfriend got the upgrade she needed and that is what matters. My computer will still run all the games I want at very good settings, so I am not worried at all. Plus I get to try something new. They way I see it, we all won.

Ahhh so many decisions for black Friday and Christmas.
I am for sure getting a new monitor but besisdes that either

1.athm50x's + an amp (not really dissatisfied w/ my bose qc3's, anywho)
2.a new mechanical keyboard and a new mouse (mehhhh)
3.a new phone (If I wait for june probably a one plus one or if its out one plus two or a nexus 6 but if now like an htc one m8 although I'm willing to wait, moto x 2014, gs5, or other on contract phones)


Hmmm, my most used devices are the phone and the headphones, neither of which I really currently am sure on upgrading or not. Hmmm

A new gpu seems like a bad option b/c haven't been gaming on my desktop much (mostly laptop b/c school)

My strongest itch is a low-power experiment, an Athlon 5350. Can it actually handle 90%+ of what I've been running? I've been toying with the idea of a G3258 instead primarily due to the upgrade potential, but it's the low electrical power needs that are driving this itch.
A lesser itch is a GTX970; hoping there's some game I'd like to play that would make use of it; plus that game. This is the one most likely to be scratched, I think. I already have a low-power laptop.
My wife is gradually filling a 120GB SSD (even though she has a mechanical RAID1 pair for data), so I could see picking up a 512GB SSD for one of my systems and passing a 250GB-256GB SSD on to her.
A final itch is not PC-related, and will be scratched, which is to become better-armed. That's all I'll say publicly on that one due to the new GRAPES rule.

I was looking at their website, and I was surprised on the amount of features it has. I was looking at the Sonata 2015, the GLS package has more features then the accord, and it's cheaper. One thing I don't like about it, is inside the car, it looks awful, and old styled. At least the accord looks better when you sit down inside the car.

I've not owned a Honda, but I have no gripes about the interiors of the Hyundais I've owned. Glare on instruments is minimal, and all buttons and controls can be operated by a gloved hand. The only issue I've had, NOT unique to Hyundai, is that the central LCD screen notably blanks out if wearing polarized lenses, unless you really torque your neck.
Otherwise, there's plenty of storage space including both doors, lighted glovebox, center console with a compartment, cupholders and a tray, a separate dash tray, an overhead eyeglasses container, and seatback meshed pouches.

Other lesser wants include another mouse and small keyboard for my test bench (probably wireless), and probably another mechanical keyboard for Phoenix.

My brother just got a 2014 Civic and it's pretty nice for the price he paid for it, a lot of modern amenities like backup camera, XM radio, and so on. I would definitely compare that to the Elantra I'm renting right now, though I do want my Altima back. :lol:

I definitely want to get a Corsair K70 RGB for my White Knight rig at some point, and I do also want to upgrade the PSU in preparation for getting a GTX 970.
