Nope. Don't even think about it. People like this are the reason children are run over and easily avoidable accidents happen. I can't stand idiots who think it is ok to do dumb sh*t in neighborhoods. If some kid in mommy's car crashed into me/ my car/ my child doing dumb stuff in the neighborhood/ residential streets, they would have about 15 seconds to explain to me why they deserve to live.

I'm not stupid enough to do that, but other people are around here. Still, I used to live in a similar place and EVERY DAMN NIGHT THERE IS SOME DAMN STUPID DRAG RACE GOING ON. Every night there are sirens... I lived there for two years, and thank god I will hopefully never live there again. My cousin was in a crash because some idiot was racing and ran a red light. He nearly died. Had he been one second earlier...

Well, you are near Ontario, and there is quite alot of street racing there, or was in the late 2000s. Currently the "Compton Speedway" (intersection of 135th and Main) is the most street raced road in the world. https://www.google.com/maps/place/135th+%2F+Main,+Willowbrook,+CA+90061/@33.9093901,-118.2740577,120m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x80c2ca42f9045b09:0x71be5525566e1d4f Have a look at all that rubber on the road. Many of the people who race here bring out $100,000+ 6 second drag cars and run for tens of thousands of dollars every race. No Hondas here.

Your brother was likely not hit by anyone doing any organized street racing. Probably just a met up at the lights, didn't know each other, and drove fast/ recklessly. No properly organized street race would ever run any lights where there is any traffic. He got hit by "ricers", not street racers. Real true grudge (street) racing has caused VERY VERY few accidents and likely no deaths. It's the unorganized, crappy cars, meet at the lights and go types of morons who kill people.

Here is an example of a real, organized, $5000 street race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ7T1r3lB5k

I'm sick of people not knowing the difference between organized street racing, and morons who think they have fast cars driving like idiots in traffic. Every crash with some kind of modified card ends up on the news with "street racing" as the headline when street racing had nothing to do with it.

The permit test is 30 questions I believe and you need 27 or more correct to pass. Just google permit test CA and read the pamphlet and take the practice. You have to memorize the questions, because they are not anything you will actually know. Alot of statistics like What % of accidents are caused by alcohol?

Just read the pamphlet and take the online practice alot to memorize the questions. The test is multiple choice.

Usually, you can answer 4 questions wrong, and be safe. I don't know how they do things in 'murica, but you have to answer 20 rule questions, and 20 sign question in Canada.

Yes street racing is very illegal. You would be surprised how safe it actually is. In proper street racing, you would be surprised how seldom ANYTHING bad happens. It is people who try to imitate the people who know what they are doing that cause most of the issues/ danger.

cars racing on a closed road with no people/ pedestrians near by = as safe as possible

Guy who saw street racing on the internet; driving like an A-hole in traffic with friends because they think they are cool = not safe at all

I just cleaned the tesla...and by clean i mean vacuum the carpet cause that and picking up trash is as far my dad would let me do with the car when it comes to cleaning 😛 The honda I can wash, clean, detail etc cause...well....Its a honda but the tesla my dad has to get hand washed and detailed somewhere nice.

I learnt to drive in 2002 (originally) and it meant that all my friends' first cars were from the mid 90s - I didn't get that far but I did drive my dad's 7 seater which was awesome for taking your mates to things. Not so good at looking cool.

The funny thing about cheap European cars from the mid 90s is that a huge amount of them were "special editions". They'd have standard models of the car like you have these days which got increasingly better kit but every few months they'd make a run of a limited edition which had seemingly whatever was left in the factory. They stuck a few stickers on it and gave it a silly name like "Spin", "Aztec", "Surf" (all real). Weird thing was they'd all have at least one "luxury" item like a sunroof or a CD player but not have things like central locking, electric windows, ABS or even carpets.

A $90K Jag is a pretty ridiculous first car even if your dad is Bill Gates, if not for the price tag then for the type of car. It's totally going to end up in a hedge/tree/wall and that's a shame, pretty car.
I guess I should fly the (sort of) British flag though, but if I was going to get any supercharged Jag the XFR/XJR would appeal. I know a guy with a modern XJ and it's just a really nice place to be.

Oh man, what a close call. I spilled coffee on my K70 at work lol.....

I took off all my keys, and noticed there's coffee on the PCB of the space bar. Took it to one of the CNC machines, and used the air compressor to dry down the keyboard. Then, I took the keys, and washed them down with water, and dry them with the air compressor as well.

Holy crap that was a lot of work for a small coffee spill lol.... Nice to see it still works :)

Mirakledba, being for your age, get a Civic, or a Corolla to start with. Kids when they get their first cars, tend to get into accidents pretty easily, and can't handle the amount of horsepower of a fast car.

My friend already got into a accident after he got his second level licence (Which you can drive by yourself) and he's afraid of driving, and he's not confident on driving without someone right beside him. Whenever we got out for shopping, or Sushi, I have to drive him, and miss out on good beer 🙁

He freaks out when I make left / right turns on the traffic light, when I'm switching lanes, and going on the speed limit.

Wow thats sad lol. But really, I dont care what my first car will be....Heck RIGHT NOW I dont even want one kinda but when I do, It doesnt matter....Why is he afraid of driving?

Tiny - Quick question.....and please dont say neither or they are the same...which car do you like more - Fisker Karma Or Model S?
