Haha yeah I applied to 3 In N outs. Applying to 2 other places....We'l see...All the money I get will go towards flight lessons if I stick with that OR a car.
A car will give you the ability to experience freedom and the ability to do whatever you want. It will change your outlook on things and is a great thing to work towards.
Removing cats is illegal. Removing mufflers isn;t as long as your local area has no sound ordinance, bit even then a car with a stock exhaust without mufflers is still quiet enough to be fine and the cops will leave it alone.

No cats is what is illegal.
California has this 95 dB law where exhaust can't go above 95 dB
Awesome! Enjoy that! I was in boston 2 years ago....I went to the baseball stadium fenway park of course. We were there cause my dad would go there every 2 months to finish his 2 year masters degree at Harvard. Only reason why we would go but it was amazing and so fun. Great experience. Be sure to have fun and enjoy the cool weather and architecture and just the way the city is. Bring a souvenir! Also, take a break from the forums and have fun on your trip. You are going to spend time there right?

95dB is pretty damn loud, and even then the cops won't just go pulling over random people because they THINK they are too loud.
Find an Escort. It's decent basic transportation. You may need to deal with some gasket problems, but once that's fixed, it will be cheap reliable transportation.
I was in Boston in late '85.
I found that Boston has an incredible sense of Revolution-era history. Its mass transit system is convenient and works. And, I got a lobster dinner there, including tip, for only $10. The Bull and Finch (bar on which "Cheers" was based) is there; I visited it a few times.
The people, however, are as cold as the climate. When 5:00p came, they put on their Walkmans and tuned out the world; best to leave them ALONE!
