Thats a great example. So basically the way he is writing it to them is like its such a horrible place (He was talking about how people would kill kids and burn the hearts for the idols, but also how the streets were nice) So at first glance though, he was telling the king how people are bad and deserve a punishment....so basically my answer would be explaining HOW he sends the message to them? (Like me writing about him writing how good or bad it is there)

Nice. Looks like there is one more bundle of joy in the world..
My little cousin sleeps. A LOT. Cries only when hungry, pooped his diapers, or sleepy. I still haven't done peek-a-boo on skype...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to do a speech for ACADEC on Data mining... Since I can't think of anything else and I saw a page with a list of SNowden quotes(I didn't read the quotes... I probably should have actually, give me something more too write about)

Anyone want to take a laugh at my speech? It really bad and talks about Data mining with cookies and Snowden and with the Windows 10 EULA that states:
“We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary”
That is a legitimate quote, and my speech is SO BAD.

My Real Name Here
ACADEC Speech(Still in Alpha)

Data. A broad term. In school, data might be the numbers you put into your Physics project. At work, it might be the amount of sales you make in a week. For computers, it is information. This information is collected on many places on the internet. Popular examples include Facebook and Google. This occurs through cookies, and not the Oreos you ate with milk at bedtime. These are small files that store YOUR INFORMATION, YOUR PREFERENCES. Everything you put on the internet is always recorded, no matter if you delete it. Once you put something on the internet, it is always there. This is the cold hard truth, and many people, and companies, have been using this data collection to further their own gains.
On July 29th, Microsoft released the new Windows 10 OS to the general public. Now, one of the most controversial things is Cortana. This is the Microsoft equivalent of Apple's Siri, of Google's Now, of Samsung's S Voice. However, it, along with the rest of the OS, is a data mine that is worse than many. It scans your contacts, your files, and will share your WiFi password with others. If you bother to read the EULA, or End User License Agreement, it states something along the lines of, We will access and preserve personal data, such as the contents of your emails and your files. I'm not sure about you, but a major company looking through MY personal files with the ability to release them to anyone, is pretty scary.
Another example that ties along with the data collection theme is Ads. Those annoying ads that pop up on many websites. But have you noticed that some contain what you just searched for? If you search for “Laptops under 700 USD”, you will often find some ads that have what you just searched. If you looked up “How to cook chicken”, you might just see some recipes for chicken. Likewise, if you post something on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram, you might find ads popping up for whatever you mentioned. If you happen to know certain commands in Command Console or Terminal, you could easily find out how many things are monitoring your internet connection and what you do. For these major companies, it is child's play to find this sort of information.
An infamous, very recent scandal that occurred is the Whistle blower Edward Snowden. Around June 2013, he revealed numerous documents pertaining to classified government documents. Some of these Documents pertained to a program called PRISM. It is a surveillance program that allows to collect internet data from at least nine major internet companies, such as Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Not only did this program focus on US citizens, but on other “high value” politicians. This program is a sheer violation of American Citizens rights, for starters. It violates whatever privacy you had, or rather, what you thought you had. It also goes to show you how far some people are taking data collection. This might have been viewed as a safety measure, but it violates a citizen’s privacy.
Data. A small, four letter word. A very insignificant word. But it can entail our privacy and personal life. Companies and people are taking advantage of our data. It could be as something as simple as a Facebook update, or something as large as a tax form. But all forms of Data are useful, no matter how insignificant they may seen. And ever out government has realized this. This collection service is touted to be something that eases your life. Friends always asking for WiFi passwords? Built into their phone. Saving your passwords so you only have to put them in once? Done. But these small things are easy exploits into something much work..

I need to fix that ending.

Not bad. You have a bunch of grammar and usage errors but otherwise not bad.

Also, you are completely wrong about PRISM and you need to read more about it before making blanket statements. It is not a violation of anything, nor was it used for anything like that. Not even it's intended purpose. My GF's dad is Assistant Director of Cyber Security at NSA. Prior he was the COO of the Information Assurance Directorate at NSA. His name is on the outside of the new NSA data center. His primary mission was to deal with little Eddie Snowden during that time period. I know ALOT about all of this and it really irks me to see people get the facts blatantly wrong just because someone on the news or internet said "the NSA is spying on people"

Hey, I wrote it in five minutes. I figured that I'm completely wrong and am going to piss people off(part of me did that on purpose I think... the suicidal part...)

That said, I'm probably going to create a completely different speech tonight...
Oh yeah, I used wikipedia since I was lazy as hell... It's one of my rules that I try never to use that but....

I still have two months to fix that POS up or whip up a new one.

I figure I just need to delete that Snowden Paragraph and come up with another company. Perhaps Google or Facebook...

Again, that is not true at all. This is just uneducated morons trying to smear an organization for doing something they didn't.

Please, before just believing what this guy says, research both sides. It is completely ridiculous how many people agree with what that pathetic coward did without even understanding what's going on at all.

Yeah, I plan to do a lot more research tonight.
Speaking of Computers, I finally got into Cyber Security I. Now we have to set up the club again....

I'm tempted to stay away from Mr. Snowden now.

Wait, so see what Snowden has too say, what the US government has to say, what OTHER governments have to say, what the Media has too say, and what everyone has to say about his methods?
Or just Snowdens side and the governments side? Gotta Make sure I didn't click the first 20 links from google for nothing

I'm still struggling to remember that one guy's name, and while I did see his face(for about an hour ish since Cyber Patriot) I am hating on my memory right now... Meanwhile, I need to figure out this speech... I'm going with Google temporarily(or something else, I'm bouncing Ideas through my head) and nothing seems to click like it did last year...For the first few parts it did, but this third paragraph and the conclusion isn't fitting.

Yeah I think that would be a good idea.

Now I have to figure out if Facebook or Google is worse.

Completely unrelated, I like Snowden's Glasses. I really like them(minus the broken nose pad). Unfortunately, those half frameless ones give me really bad headaches for some reason...

Anyways.... I need to do this speech... Still trying to figure out something

Based on what? Like terms of service agreements? Permissions? Types of services available? Oculus vs Google Glass?

On another note has anyone used the Lenovo Yoga Pro 13"? I was looking at getting a Surface but then I saw this which is $100 less than the Surface model I want to get with a larger, and higher resolution screen: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/lenovo/yoga-tablet-series/yoga-tablet-2-win-13/

Erm, Permissions mainly. About overusing them to data mine you. Main point was Windows 10 and their EULA...

The judges are going to stare at me if I actually use this speech. Too bad I can't reuse my old one, I had a paragraph dedicated to comparing Fahrenheit 451 and our world. It would have been amazing had not the person after me had Guy Montag References... So much for a unique Idea.

I've taken speech classes. One thing I will say to *NOT* do is to go too far into the back history of the subject of data mining. You'll find interest lost very quickly. Since Windows 10 is new you can find a wealth of material out there on the subject and compare that with what Facebook and Google do.

John Oliver had an excellent episode a while back on the subject of Snowden and data mining, it should be on Youtube.

I don't want to venture too far into the forbidden GRAPES territory but John Oliver is usually pretty dead on with most of his segments. I have used his episodes as a few sources and teachers were fine with it.
