Interesting, I've thought about getting a G303 at some point to replace my EVGA TorqX because it's too sensitive for a work PC, any non gaming use with it?

The ones I have and have used: Roccat Kone Pure, EVGA TorqX, Corsair Vengeance M95, Corsair Vengeance M65 RGB, and Thermaltake Level 10.

My favorite is the Corsair M95, least is the Roccat Kone, mainly because I hated the noisy driver software and the mouse was too small for my somewhat large hands.

First thing I noticed are the one's you mentioned are all laser and heavy (besides the Kone IIRC 90g). I prefer lightweight and optical.

To quote myself from a Razer post from FB where they were advertising The Mamba Tournament Edition - 16,000 DPI, custom Chroma lighting and one guy mentioned:

Well higher the DPI the smoother the mouse is. Lower DPI means it skips dots making it less smooth. Just adjust ur in game sensitivity to counter the massive dpi

I couldn't contain myself on this guys ignorance.

CPI is the relationship between mouse movement on a surface and cursor movement on-screen. It is NOT a measurement of precision OR accuracy. In fact, the more the pixels are split the less accurate or precise a sensor becomes. The only time higher CPI makes sense is when (monitor) resolution is high. Say, 4K or > 1440p... I love playing shooters against people that think high CPI = better. In actuality, they'd be better off with a gamepad... "J. Doe" above has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

The very cool thing about the G303 is what makes Zowie mice so attractive - you don't need to install drivers/software. Plug in play and default presets. But it is small... You have large hands perhaps the Rival would be better suited or the Zowie ZA11 or the EC1-A.

I'm not a fan of any of the Corsair mice (or heavy mice rather) but that's just my preference and has evolved over the years.

@BestBuy yesterday I told them they need to put all of their mice together and have a display where people can try out the fit and finish. I actually opened the G303 box in the aisle which brought up the discussion. It turned out constructive...

*Edit - after thinking, maybe the G502 is right up your alley? It's heavy (121g) and the same sensor in the G303 (PMW3366) and 3 preset profiles.

Yeah I prefer the heavy mice, I tend to work on PCs for long hours and having a heavy, weighted mouse is a lot better for me to work with and I don't get hand cramps that way.

Really? What about for customization? Wouldn't you need drivers for that?

So I got my CPU cooler and hooked my Zotac board into my test bench (which is really my old HAF 912 with a Corsair TX750), and I got my Zotac board to post! Woohoo! My 3570K lives!

Here's a picture of what it looks like with the CPU cooler (Noctua NH-L9i) and RAM installed:

Zowie by default are plug n play. I don't even think they have a download page. Customization is built into the mouse...

As for the G303? Yeah if you want to tinker with lighting, profiles, CPI, polling rate, etc.

ONBOARD MEMORY PROFILES

What happened to the deathadder?

I've been wanting a backlit mechanical keyboard for a while now. The mouse is on a lower priority but if I did it would be one with interchangeable weights and lots of programmable buttons like a MMO style. Features like those are what I would be willing to pay more for.

Man, I think that I'd still stick with this HP POS. I only have problems with the colon key sometimes. It's bulletproof.

I just got a 4000 mAh pack for 4 bucks on sale.... I thought it was trash but it turns out the included cord is trash... Only 1.5 feet long... Normally 15-20 bucks on ebay so we'll see how it goes... Seems nice so far, the body is made of a metal or steel type material...
Also had thai food, Drunken Noodles, Chicken Satay, and some Pad Thai..... mmmmmmmm

That was the board I originally wanted but couldn't find it anywhere, and didn't want to pay the $300+ that Amazon vendors were charging for it. I'm happy with my Zotac board purchase though. I say go for that one.,

Damn that board looks nice!

I love this motherboard, it's one of the best purchases I've made on PC hardware lately. I can't wait for Silverstone to release the Raven 02, I want to see what this thing is capable of! I'm ordering the PSU this week, I have decided to go with the Silverstone SX500 SFX power supply for this rig. Although I could also go with an Azza Z and then I can use a full size power supply with it. But I really want the Raven for this thing, that was my whole reason for doing this rig in the first place.

I won't buy a mechanical keyboard without a full backlight anymore. I have a Cooler Master Storm on my Dark Knight rig and it has a partial backlight, but this thing pales in comparison to keyboards that I've used with a full backlight.

Not for Water Damage no. That's the user's fault, not EVGA's. I mean, you could call them and ask, but thats a 1% chance of them saying yes...

I had a friend try to trade a 6450 and 4 gigs of DDR2 for 8 Gigs of DDR2.... Didn't go so well, even with 20 bucks added...

It's actually an inside joke among the mod team. But now it's in avatar form.

Although I thought about using the guy from that Comedy Central show "Review" for my avatar, I've been watching a lot of that lately and it's freaking hilarious. The cult episode I was on the floor laughing.

I need to start watching TV... I feel so left behind with all these references being thrown around.
@Bossy

What happened to the deathadder?

Computer was acting up and it happened to be in my hand. Wasn't the first time I used it as a hammer so it held up well. Then I let my 4 year old have his way with it. :)

Spending more than $20 on a mouse or keyboard never has crossed my mind. I'm running a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard that cost me $18. They both work great, no input delay at all.

I try not to spend > $45usd on a mouse. I bought a RAT 7 for $100 one time... worse $100 ever spent. I could have bought 2 mice that weighed less with better sensors. :ouch:
