The printer's ink pad is nearing the end of its service life. How can I solve it ?

Find the model number of your printer, it should be on a label on the printer somewhere.
Type this into google and add 'ink pad reset' .
Watch out for bad sites that only want to scam you.

Generally, parts that wear out simply need to be replaced. What is the specific make/model of your printer?

My old Cannon multi-function printer failed in that manner over a year ago.

Website links to reset did not seem to work at all....

Although the pads appeared to be replaceable actually doing so was not readily done. The pads were very small and difficult to get to.

One pad would not come out, the other fell deeper into the bowels of the machine.

No harm no foul because the printer simply would not work any more and I had nothing to lose by trying to replace the pads.

Print autopsy revealed ink spilled in all around that area of the printer. (I only used official cannon ink cartridges.)

What ever you do be very careful and be prepared that the printer may not be fixable.
