Hi all,

I have a question about setting up my UPS and AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). Some countries may not be aware of this AVR but its like a UPS also except it doesn't have a battery or simply it just regulates power to sustain the right voltage (220v).

I live in Asia. In our area, the power is awful. It fluctuates .. we have at least 2 to 3 times of power outage every week.

*BTW, sorry for my English

Anyway, my PC setup is simple .. I only use 1 monitor and a CPU .. I just need 2 prongs.

My UPS is not that good (ugly brand) .. but I just need it to avoid the power outage that happens all the time. Even though it is cheap, it does the job. I only need 15-30 secs to shutdown my computer so I think that UPS is good enough.

My question is, how/where am I going to plug my AVR??

I'll give you some options:

Option 1: From Main Outlet > UPS > AVR > PC ?

Option 2: From Main Outlet > AVR > UPS > PC ?

Option 3: From Main Outlet > UPS > PC ? (I'll just trash the AVR?)

Some people say that the UPS can regulate power already. I'm not sure about mine.

My UPS is Sunstar UPS-650

Thank you very much for your help.
