[SOLVED] Thinkpad T440s wifi 6 upgrade ?

So for a while now, the wifi on my T440s would constantly disconnect and when it is connected it's slow as hell compared to my phone. That's why I'm planning to upgrade my wifi card. I got a suggestion that I upgrade to an intel wifi 6 ax200, but all vendors say it doesn't support my laptop. I've seen that you can whitelist wifi cards in bios to be able to use ones that aren't supported by default by your laptop, but will this card work if I whitelist it? Any other suggestions on what I should do?

As I recall the modern Intel CPU or chipset has the AX or AC WiFi chip built in. With the card just providing the radio portion. The new card wouldn't work as it's only the radio.

You'd need something which is all in one. Say with a Broadcom or Atheros 802.11ax chip. Plus the right antennae. As it may need two or three leads and able to receive 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz signals. Also the right socket and form factor. Couldn't say if more is needed.

Do you mean the latest generation of Intel processors by "modern Intel CPU"? Mine is an i7-4600u and as far as I know changing the wifi card should fix my issue and increase connection speed.
