I'm putting together a new system mostly for video and Photoshop use. I picked up this 16GB 1600 ram when it was on sale for $139 but now I'm not sure I made the right choice and if spending a few more dollars is worth it I'd be willing to.

It's going into an ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION LGA 1155 Intel P67 MB with an Intel 2600K processor. I now see on the package it is optimized for 1156 platforms. Asus only lists one 16GB ram combo in their QVL so I'm not expecting that but G-skill does list it as compatible. I just don't want to start out with this if something else might make a reasonable difference.
I also have a Vertex 3 240GB ssd on the way for this rig.
I really appreciate any input on this before I put this together.
