Why risk it?
Pros:
-Yay! I was the Nth player to test the beta and I had fun running around whatever area is available.

Cons:
-Very expensive GPU
-Current stock is low / hard to find
-A game currently in beta version which you may not like after you try it.
-You'd have to get through RMA with the manufacturer; a process that could end up being a nightmare for you

Jay, at Jayz2Cents says to turn Vsync on so you don't get runaway framerates that overload the power regulation circuits on your video card. He also recommends NOT using pigtails to power the card. Each power connector needs it's own connector on the power supply. Think about it, each 8-pin connector pulls 150W. If you use a pigtail, you're now trying to pull 300W from a connector on your power supply that is only designed to deliver 150W to a single connector. You're going to get current fluctuations on both power connectors attached to the cable with the pigtail.

Until more info comes about, I currently feel like this one's on Nvidia. The design of these cards is borked.
I don't want to say it's Samsung's fault, since it WAS Nvidia's decision to switch from TSMC.

Software is killing gpus... that shouldn't be a thing, unless there's something inherently wrong under the hood of Ampere.
If you look around, you'll find that New World isn't the only title that can break them. As I mentioned in a news thread, Master Chief Collection can do it too.

Wasn't Anthem bricking consoles a while back? It's not a new thing.
