A better enterprise would have been porting Word 6 to current Windows, because Office has become sad.

Having just moved from Outlook 2019 to the current E3 365 version, I can somewhat agree. Hidden search bar that is non-trivial to enable, frequent crashes and some terrible interface decisions. Outlook was one of *the* apps that stopped me moving to Linux on my laptop a few years ago - none of the web or app solutions available at that time was as easy to handle 300+ mails a day across 4 accounts, I spent several days trying all sorts. Darn shame that it's starting to lose it's core usability. For me, I'd stop at Office 2010 or 2016 if compatibility didn't get in the way.
