Can Tiberian Dawn still be bought in stores? I had all of the old C&C
games at one time. But lost them when I moved. I still have the demo for
Tiberian Dawn. Could anyone please tell me where I can find a program to
change the units fire power in Tiberian Dawn Demo. I can't remember what
file it is that you can change things in. Any help?

Thanks

Try Amazon.com
They used to have it, and if not new they may have a used copy for sale.

Searched Amazon.com before I asked. Tiberian Dawn not listed either new or

IF you happen to be in/will visit soon australia (or other country with same
or similar budget game series)
I have seen C&C in a budget brand called "BD Black Diamond" and before that
in a EA buget pack..

That may be because the game is actually called Command and Conquer.

"Tiberian Dawn" was a subtitle (which appeared sometime afterwards).

Tried using both terms. Red Alert 2, Generals. and Tiberian Dawn is the
only ones that showed up. I know it can be found on Ebay. But chances are
real good that the games won't work. That is from past experience.

Ah - that clarifies things a bit.

It doesn't help you much though - I haven't seen Tiberian Sun in the
shops for a long time.

Maybe he meant that the original DOS version won't run under W2K/XP.
C&C Gold (for Win95) will run under W2K/XP with a patch from Westwood.

The C&C setup prog doesn't run under W2K/XP, so you'll have to install
it under W95/98, then copy all files to W2K/XP, then apply the Westwood
patch.

I also read somewhere that the setup prog could be run in W9x
compatibility mode,
but that didn't work with my (German) W2K version,
the cross install option mentioned above was the only way to get it
going.

However, please note that modern computers may be way too fast for C&C
Gold.
Some timers inside the game won't be treated correctly.

So I wouldn't set the game speed to 'fastest', use a slightly slower
setting instead;-)

Sometime ago I got three CDs off ebay. One Worked fine. One was scratched
up so bad thaty it wouldn't work, and the other needed a code to get it to
work, and after trying to get one from the seller. I found out that I was
out of $25.00.
