Hey y'all, I have a problem where I always time out from my games no matter what I try, it disconnects me and I'll have to reconnect back again after 10-15 seconds. I am connected to the internet via ethernet cable and I've had this issue for the past few years, even when I've moved houses and gotten another PC, the issue persisted. I've had people from ISP over so many times and the issue has not been resolved yet. What can I do to resolve the issue?

TL;DR
I always disconnect from games when I have good internet speed and am connected with ethernet cable. Changed houses and PC and I still have the issue. I've contacted ISP so many times and they always say "it should work now". pls help

My download speeds are:
632.60 Mbps Down
161.60 Mbps Up

Here's my setup:
MOBO: b450 tomahawk max
GPU: RX 5600 XT
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: Ballistix 16GB

Make and model router?

The router's logs (if available and enabled) may provide some clue.

Who has full admin rights to the router? You will need help from that person.

Also: on your PC look in both Reliability History and Event Viewer.

Either one or both tools may be capturing some error codes, warnings, or even informational events just before or at the time of the disconnects.

One immediate thing that you can do that may make a difference: disable IPv6 on your computer.

Disabling IPv6 has proven helpful for others.

Hey @Ralston18 , router says D-Link Model No. DIR-853.
I think I have full admin rights to the router and no one else.
Also checked reliability history and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
Not sure how to work out event viewer honestly
Unfortunately, IPv6 has already been disabled 🙁
I'm not sure what else I can do, what settings I can change in the router
Any help is appreciated, if there's anything else you recommend me doing it would also be great. Thanks

Try logging into the router using a browser and the router's assigned network IP address.

You will be asked for a login name and password. If you do not know the login name and password then you do not have the necessary admin rights to the router.

On your computer run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt. Post the results.

You should be able to copy and paste the results without needing to retype everything.
