To DX11 or not?

I want to upgrade on a budget.
I was going for the 4870 and then a saw 2x4770 for about $165 very interesting.
Now, should i wait until Nvidia does a move and the 4800 series will drop price or wait a little more 'til the 5770 gets out 3rd week of October?

2x4770 is great, powerful, cool and quiet.

But I'd still rather have a 5770. I guess it depends on how really desperate you are for a card right now.

Yeah,
I hate to wait, but i think i will be patient.
The 5770 should be quite nice.
Right now i'm on HD3300 onboard.
So, my gaming is kinda limited...

Could be worse, you could have an intel GMA.

I borrowed a friends second 4870 while waiting on my 5850 arriving, so my gaming is still quite bearable thankfully.

12 days, that is what I suggest waiting so you can check out the rumored 5770.

i dont think you should go for the DX 11 cards. Buy a HD4870 now and get a 5 series card this summer instead. Cause when DX 10 arrived the 8 series nvidia cards coulnt handle it so well. Neither the 3 series ATI cards. And i guess same is gonna happend with those new ATI and nvida cards. Besides, there is not much of a graphical diffrence between DX 9 and 10. Mostly just FPS issues when playing on DX 10. Especially on Far Cry 2 LOL!

I am also very interested in teh 5770 and would recomend you at least wait and see what its about before making a decision.
