Question To hight temps on a i7 860

So i overclocked my i7 860 to 3ghz and i get 51c at idle and 86-90 at high load.
I have a preaty beefy cooler master cooler so i wonder if there was somthing wrong here. And i am quite new to overclocking so any tips would help!

Hi Shinnio,

I too am new to overclocking, so hopefully the other users will confirm or correct me here.
that sounds a bit high, is your cooler air or liquid?
also, you are overclocking to less than the turbo of that chip so i would expect the temps to be lower than that

What cooler is it?
What's the chips base clock?
It might just be that that's what the cooler can handle
