Traded a 6990 and an Acer Aspire V3-571G-6602 since my girlfriend is the notebook type... although this thing isn't near mobile weighing in at a modest 15lbs (perhaps more) and not to mention the oh so wee power supply. 😱

So total cost prolly around $1,100 as I already had the Samsung 830. I have to admit the screen is nice...

Sorry, i thought that my signature was turned on:

3570k @ 4.6ghz, Asus Maximus V Gene, Corsair H60, onboard graphics, 8gb Corsair, OCZ vertex 4 120gb, OCV Mod x-tream 650w, Lan Gear Da Box,

Does it come with a popcorn button? :)

I'm suprised at how much cheaper gaming laptops are now. Still waiting for them to get mobile though. Sucks the Razer Blade is the only one right now, Razer definitely overprices everything they make. Sucks, wanting Lenovo to get in on this since I get a 40% their laptops thanks to a scholarship.

They are slim, but $2,500 for a gamer with a GTX 660m is outrageous. Almost as bad as Apple... :ouch:

And you're right, Lenovo needs to get into the market... I've always liked their products and have always had good experiences with their customer support.

Yeah Lenovo is pretty solid. I'm liking them moving away from the Apple Macbook standard of design that all the companies are trying to copy. Asus and Lenovo are probably one of the few companies staying away. I'm liking their u300's designs but not the specks

Update on my R4: More photos, getting ready to OC the GPU and CPU then SLI over the weekend. Next month I might get some UV Silverstone AP Fans and some cathodes to light em up.

Alright, will do so with that bag of zip ties you see in pic 3 this weekend when I put the SLI in, 24 pin will go through the back and I will find a way the hide those fan wires.

for an alienware,it's a good deal lol(usually they are super expensive)
i liked the LED lightning system.

I actually made out in the deal... the guy I traded with said nothing was wrong with it but when i brought it home it kept overheating and throttling 5 minutes into a game or benchmark. I tried everything software wise short of pulling out a screwdriver (which I had to do). I asked the dude if he had these problems and he responded - "No, I have AC".

Since I had the tools out I just disassembled the thing and re-applied TIM with Formula 7 on the GPU's and CPU. Then, I wrote the dude and told him I fixed it, and not surprisingly, his response was - "Really, how'd you do it?"

The guy just could have been honest... anyway the thing is nice and it's really easy to swap GPU's... It gives roughly the same performance of my old 2500K/6950CF machine (atleast in the Unigine Tropics benchmark). Too bad it's not mine, but has me wanting one of my own... and tyes the lighting is excellent; the keyboard is bright.

Downside - it's heavy and the power supply is no different.

Sorry it took so long to respon. just saw the post. In what resolution would you like me to run the benchmark in 5760 or 1920?

Here's my build. Nothing special.
