@Ajm1212, nice man, I don't think I'll need to shout at you for your cables in the new rig, its very nearly my level already hehe I look forward to seeing your efforts in the new case

MjmjPfaff, good work man, I can see the evolution of cablework there, nice use of little holes in the frame too, btw, if the Molex's are a little too annoying spacewise, you can trim those sproingy bits off with a sharp knife to allow the connecters to sit flat, minor tip there hehe :)
Nice work coming in here lately, good to see
Moto

^Good tip. Those bits never come in use either.

EDIT: Sorry for duplicate post. I didn't know about this thread so just created my own... well, I'm here now!

This here is my very first gaming build, which I put together back in June 2012.

I understand the guts are not so pretty, I think its bleghh myself... full ATX board was way out of budget in my part of the world, but the important part is I'm able to run my games very nicely with this! Latest drivers installed, all games run swell!

Happened to be doing a bit of cleaning, some cable-management, thoughts of adding an extra 4GB RAM to the free DIMM slot... then I remembered I never posted the build here on the forums... so here it is!

Please let me know what you think. Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

System specs:

i3 2100 3.1Ghz
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V mATX
Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5
1x4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM Kingston
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7200rpm
LiteOn DVD/RW
Corsair CX500 500W 80+ power supply
Thermaltake V3 Black Edition case

The SoundBlaster sound card is from my previous computer.

Wouldn't have known about it, thanks! Wow I was actually checking out your build up there, not realizing it was yours, wondering what the hell it was doing out-of-doors  Congrats on your system, some serious muscle there!

EDIT: LOL my system looks so barebones next to all those monsters in here! Don't know why but... its almost like comparing an expensive and exquisite dinner with starters, main meal and dessert in a 5-star hotel... to a hot-dog sandwich from one of these hot-dog stands! In a nutshell, it just gets the job done!

I'll let you in on a little secret. I have a pretty lame looking M-ATX board, but I have an absolutely massive cooler on my GTX460 (which is about the same performance as your 6850) which covers up the bottom of it and draws the eyes away from the bottom of the board...or the lack of it.

I don't think I've actually owned a full ATX motherboard. :/

Just put together... I know, I know - I'll do something with the unused cables. I got tired and wrapped them up instead of problem solving. My kids were driving me nuts with "helping daddy".

i5-3570K
Enermax ETS-T40 T.B.SILENCE
ASRock Z77 Extreme 6
8GB Ballistix sport
Asus Direct DCII 7950
Silencer MKII 750w (great psu but I need modular)
256GB Samsung 830
750GB Seagate Barricuda
Rosewill Blackhawk

The case is cool, the front panel cables are nice and long but the side panels are flimsy and weak.

wow, some really nice rigs in this thread and some good effort put in by builders to make it look clean and functional :) good job everyone.

Special note - Modo - good work keeping people in line without me around 😀

SICK sick SICK looking rig man. Love the all black look!

Just curious, what kind of FPS are you getting on BF3 with that setup?

Really glad to see all of this love and appreciation being put into your builds! I see that Moto has influenced many in the ways of cable management as well. Attention to detail is key and I'm seeing a lot of it. Keep up the fantastic work everyone.

I'm going to go easy on this one hehe, (must be in a good mood 😛)
Flip your hard drives so the cables feed through from the front of the cage,
And colour the SLI cable in with a marker pen or something 😛
I used black fabric tape on mine, works well on black cards
All in all, good effort man, enjoy it :)
