It's a small case with a lot of hardware. The little black wires going across the mobo are temp sensors that I use to ramp up specific fans accordingly. Yes I have a red, white, and blue theme.

You don't have to be such a prick. You have killed this thread with your comments. You're part of the problem on Toms, and that's why most enthusiasts frequent different forums.

Please be polite to each other. Forum rules prohibit death threats (even in jest) and ass whoopin' (ditto). Please don't make more work for us mods cleaning up the whole thread.

Besides, if you saw pictures of my rig it would take me days to recover from your criticisms.

I've edited it slightly Knott to remove the finality of death, I'll remove the entire comment if necessary though :)
And come on, lets have the pics of your beastie 😛
hopefully you see that most of our criticisms are constructive and helpful, although we do get silly from time to time

A few little cables aren't an issue to me. Airflow is good and temps are fine. I was thinking of plugging a few more cables into my power supply to add to the amount of cables in my case. I will just throw them next to the hdd cage. Maybe I'll route the cpu cable in front for that " unkempt" look. All that power really needs something to tell people that it still is a computer, and not an art museum.

My office blocks photobucket and the like, where my pics are. I'll try to remember when I get home.

Ok, against whatever judgment I have left here's a couple of pics. This is my Antec P183, the first build I ever did in a case with cable management. I tried to keep the front side clear for airflow. The back is a sacrament in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti monster, because it wasn't important to me.

@ WyomingKnott - Is that an Antec P280? I'm a real fan of the P180 mini, but never have been able to come around to buying one for myself! I'll shoot some ideas via PM after I've dug through my image inventory.

Edit: Missed your P183 portion :) will look into it. PM incoming.

My first ever build !

CPU: Intel core i5 3570k 3.4 Ghz
Motherboard: Asus p8z77-v LX
RAM: Kingston Hyper X 8GB Ram (2x4GB)
GPU: AMD 6670 ( temporary card)
HDD: 300GB 7200 RPM HDD
HDD: 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD
Case: Sharkoon T9 value edition black
PSU: Corsair cx 600.

Things i plan to upgrade : Upgrade my Gpu hopefully to and Amd radeon hd 7870
And upgrade my cpu cooling solution hopefully to a thermaltek frio

I'm also hoping to overclock

cablemanagement my friend :)

Nice case though, sharkoon seems to have hit the sweet spot with value oriented cases. Your case isn't that easy to manage wires, I'll admit that as every ODD+SSD is protruding towards the mobo and GPU.

However, you could:
1| move HDD's to the bottom most caddy placement
2| manage those wires around the mobo tray a lil better and tighter with cable ties as you have 4 cutouts on the mobo tray

this should help you alot in the above dept's :)
3| Flip HDD connectors towards the front - but will maybe require you to remove the front fans while doing so.
4| ziptie mounts to snag the cables and maybe leave some loose ends for you to work on when you'll pop more hardware into case.
5| no ODD shown in specs nor in photos. Two less wires to ponder about.

E.g:

^ my opinion though :) seeing as I'm nitpicky of the cables and interested in showroom quality presentation 😛

Lastly, nice lineup on hardware. I like the case especially [:lutfij:3]

The reason i put the hard drives at the top is so the front fans have a way to get some airflow. also i will be adding a blu ray drive soon thats why i need the hard drives at the top. the reason the for the mess is probably because the cables are quite long so it looks a little like yours on the 24 pin connector, it's also like that with the usb 3.0 connector. later today i will have to take the motherboard out so i can put in the i/o shield which i couldn't do before because the board wouldn't line up once i put in the shield ! i aggre the case was an excellent choice especially for the money, looks nice and performs nice.

On that build the only way to manage cables was around the mobo tray and not behind it as there was less than 1/2" of leeway between back of mobo tray and case panel.

similar build but with a lil difference in PSU and HDD

Head down to my build log and you can see how I managed my wires.

here's another which I don't have a dedicated thread for:
IMG_0792.jpg

since that pic I've changed the black sata cables to akasa slim 35cm Sata3.0 cables, moved my SSD to the back of mobo tray and also had a 320GB samsung Drive come back from warranty.

USB 3.0 cables are a botch to deal with when the header on the mobo is a vertical connector but fabric tape can stealthify them

It's mostly the little cables that make it look messy, i have routed some molex cables behind the case maybe i could plug them fan headers in there instead ? but im a little worried they might start making a lot of noise ?

Small wires can be bunched up with short zipties and held/fastened down on ziptie mounts. When you'll have fans run off molex plugs, its full blast and yeas it'll be very noisy.

Fan headers and connections are the easiest to manipulate as they are small - you can have most of them run in the space between the mobo and the mobo tray...?

Fan controller and manage wires ?

I guess what i could do is pull the 24 pin power plug and see if i could tie it down somewhere on the board ? i had actually planned cable managment before my motherboard arrived but after i installed it didn't look as i planned it

I'l try plugging in the 2 front fans to the molex connectors. Noise doesn't bother me that much unless it's ridiculous noise, They're only 120 mm fans anyway.

@erykkrol

not sure how much space there is behind the mobo tray but, buy/ borrow a dremmel. I cut cable management holes in my old thermaltake tank of a case, which has little space behind the mobo, yet i significantly improved cables. Good build according to parts and future upgrades but a reflection of this by cable management can go a long way :)

Here is a little build me and a friend have been working on that consists of spare parts left over from upgrades. It still have some things to be done to it like cable management and new GFX but here it is so far.
I5 3470
GA-Z77m-d3h
Kingston hyperX 4gb 1333
GTX 460 (swapping for HD 7770 as card has heat/ artifacting issues.)
Coolermaster GX500w (painted white)
HDD1 2.5" macbook 250gb
HDD2 3,5" 80gb
Custom painted the coolermaster case.

@ gator - that rear fan need some attention :) the placement of the power connectors are a lil issue, but every problem has a solution.

@ jakewat - you know whats needs to be done. Post back with your results. Nice assortment of leftover parts though!

Here's my Gaming / Windows machine.
