Unless you are using lots of programs or very memory intensive ones, You will not notice the difference.

I say this from experience.

As soon as you DO start to use it, you will be happy you have it :)

Car battery seems like a better buy to be honest :)

It was, it allowed me to get back to autozone today to pickup the other small tools I needed to finish up my spark plugs and R8 coilpacks 😛. Back to topic this thing is epic for games now

Love this new system, and it was built by you guys! (Had a thread going earlier before purchase.)

Pretty neat setup, only thing I would be worried about is all the dust with that d frame. Still a sick looking rig. Although i'd be more of a fan in a lime green 😛

@MrRline: Thanks, sadly the case is limited edition (only 500 red, 500 orange made) and comes in just red/black or orange/blue. Lime green would have been awesome, though.

Ok about ready to bite the bullet on buying 2 EVGA 780 Hydro's and a 900D case to go with them. Currently using 1 x 360mm radiator top mounted. I'm wanting to move it to the bottom and install another rad either on the front or at the bottom. Using an XTPC bay pump + reservoir.

My question to the more experienced builders, what is a solid rad to buy in the 240mm range? Also would it be better to go with a separate pump + cylinder reservoir then keeping my XTPC? I'm asking because I've had bad experiences in mounting pumps and reservoirs in the past, I don't want to modify my case in any way.

Thanks! I'm actually picking up a few new parts in the next week (1300W Antec Platinum and another 780 OC Rev 2 from Gigabyte) so I'll show you those benchmarks as well.

Here's the highest I've gotten so far with marginal over clocking of the CPU/GPU:

Cables are as good as it will get with what you got. Nice work

thanks guys! this is my first case that actually had cable management opportunities and i also went with the modular psu when i bought the case. i was sick of seeing the inside of my cases look like smashed ass so this time i tried to hide them as best i could.

My first build. I was aiming for something that could game pretty well and that would be unobtrusive and quiet for college/my dorm (read: not a Thermaltake Level 10 with billions of lights and fans). I think it went pretty well, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Should hopefully be upgrading to a second gtx 770 soon :) PS: I know the cables are awful, shhhh I'm getting there!
SPECS:

Storage: 2 x 2tb Seagate Barracuda
256gb Samsung 840 Pro

So far no problems running anything at 1440p! 😀

Looks damn good, oh and your cable management looks clinical compared to mine, but my case has no cable management what so ever.

Thanks! I think I'm still going to work on cleaning up the red and yellow molex cables, maybe even buy a special cable to fix up that area a little. The back of the board looks pretty good, though I didn't include a picture of that.

It very well may, I'll have to go check on that :) To be honest, since this was my first build, I was just more concerned with not screwing anything up than any possible asthetics. hopefully I can have a little bit of fun with my next rig 😛

Yeah on that ax psu you should have dedicated plugs for the gpu. You shouldnt have to use those molex connecters with that adapter. I have a lower end model of the corsair psu (cx series) and it even comes with 2 gpu plugins. And btw what do u mean your case has no cable management? It has holes with the rubber grommets that especially made to hide cables. It doesnt get any better than that. Take a look at my case and how i did cable management and i dont have rubber grommets anywhere. Your case has great cable management man. You did a good job though, just get rid of them molex connecrors.

Edit: Yeah i just looked it up and that psu actually has 6 dedicated gpu power connectors. So get rid of those ugly molex conncetors man.

Snowkid33 - My case hasn't got holes or grommetrs to hide wires behind the mobo tray, its a first model aerocool stike x, all I can do is bunch wires up and hide them where my harddrives go, you should have check out what case I had before commenting, unless you missed read the comment and thought I was refering to the other guys case.

Uther39 - I have nerd envy over your build

My bad man. I was referring to the grommets that come from the back of the mobo tray to the fron of the mobo. I meant no offense. Just tryin to help. And yeah you should be able to not use those molex connectors on the gpu. It should have dedicated gpu power plugs

No offense taken man all good. Yeah you shouldn't need those molex adaptor, even my cheap and nasty psu has an 8 and a 6 pin for the gpu, unfortunately my 680 uses 2 x 8 pins so I had to use 1 adaptor, I realy need to stop being a cheap skate and buy some cable sleeving and cable ties and do a better job of mine, its an absolute rats nest, Moto would seriously have a fit, but the rig works and life goes on

Teeroy32 - I think we got confused! I was actually commenting on falcons build man. Im sorry if i made it confusing!

I believe I was referring to my ability to use the case, not the case itself. I love how easy it is to work with the cables in this case actually.

Done and done. I just replaced those molex connectors this morning and it looks way better, thanks!

ohhhh gotcha! thats good. lets see some pics of how good it looks then! and yeah you only use those molex adapters if like your psu only had one gpu connector. and glad i could help!
