well, i finally upgraded to nvidia surround.

i like it, but they will more than likely be getting sent back. im only able to get a few games to run at 5760x1080, and not even the ones i really wanted. i thought it was a plug and play type of thing

Hey moto, I stalk what mal says about you, so I'm not completely unaware. And c'mon, more cabling tips, haha! But I can't blame you. A neat case look top of the line compared to a messy one. But moto, question, why are you outside? The drilling of the holes?

I do what I can on the kitchen table, but for drilling/cutting/angle grinding I prefer to work outside, where I have more room
Moto

hold on and work with it some more....
give it some more time and driver updates for games.

also, you need more distance between you and the monitors.
little bit more room.

(no bezel adjustment here in this pic.)
ok, after a week i was able to get this game to work thanks to widescreengamingforums.

but my main problem is how huge things get from center of middle screen to edges of side screens. is that normal? not trying to hijack thread, just wondering. also mal, if i reach out i cannot touch any of the displays. it might not look so, but this desk is pretty big. and at moto, that cable management tip is something i would have never thought of. when i upgrade anything all my cables will be coming from behind my mobo. please, if you have any nvidia surround tips pm me, i can use any help i can get

Found a buyer for my 955 + CM V8 and 790FX-GD70, $225 was original asking price, he wants it for $200. Seems reasonable to me, what do you guys think?

If I sell it, I'll have $528 in funds ($328 originally). That'll give me $310 I need for the i5 2500K and an Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 Z68. Which puts me at $218. Puts me just about there for selling my 5850 and able to get a 7850/7870 or waiting for the Nvidia offerings :) I'm excited guys.

if you can get over half of original purchase price than go for it, otherwise id say build a pc with your spare parts and give it to your brother or sell it to a close friend. lets show all these console gamers that pc is the best gaming platform. i just say this because my little brother is getting my storm sniper case and old 6970 i started out with. his birthdays coming up on the 14th and our dad bought him a i3 2120t and supporting mobo. throw a spare psu in there, better than any console. hopefully he likes it more.

if you no longer want the hardware go for it. i know i would if i had upgrade fever, which seems to hit pretty often, unfortunately

my desk does get bigger this is what it looks like with all the pieces http://www.officemax.com/catalog/images/397x353/22352730i_02.jpg ill get the whole desk within the next month. and ya the monitors are overlapping a bit, just an attempt to make the bezels seem smaller. the beer is cheap and nasty, but im on a budget. all my money for the last few months have been going into my set up. i usually get boulevard when i have extra money

You are a tad wire management crazy, eh?

Too much work for me. As long as the cables I have don't screw with my air flow, which they don't, I am happy.

Yeah im hoping so...
I can't wait to get my 2nd gpu 😀
Ohh and this SSD is just blazing....... really astonishing :ouch:
My lowest WEI score is now 7.7 :ange:

Same. Supprisingly its my CPU. I am also suprised my older X25-M gets a 7.8. Then again its still a pretty fast little SSD.

as for the bezel adjustment (seem smaller) do not worry about that believe me.
line them up so that all are even and straightened out, then use the bezel adjustment to compensate and balance.

if said this many of times on how the brain will phase the bezels out over a short period of time and will not be an issue.
you will actually get a fuller more balance feel when sitting slightly back, I can't stress that enough.
almost can be like iMAX theater.... LOL

if the set-up doesn't work for you and you want to rid yourself of the GTX 570's then I'm here for you... 😗

never had Boulevard..
im gonna play around with the monitors for the next week or so but thats what i was thinking of returning, not the 570's. but i think ill keep them and like you said when i have more room to work with on my desk they will be more enjoyable for gaming. i already like them for web browsing and that stuff, even if i decide i dont like them for gaming ill still more than likely keep them for just for that.

I also have an issue where my rig will go into a continuous loop at boot of restarting itself if i use both of my ram stick...
I can only use 1 stick atm, it's odd.

Mine did the same thing but I figured out it was because I oced my CPU to 5.0 and it was overheating. Reduced it to 4.8 and it was stable again.

yep yep. i posted my rig somewhere here, but it was more than likely in wc forum if you never seen it. this is what i started with after i took the crappy 6970 out...
and now...

first setup...

and you seen now. all since last june. i laugh at the inside if my first build now, i thought i had the cables managed ok.

I'm the same. I like to keep the coolest temperatures possible, even when OCed. But yea, just was interested about the temp drop with one fan.

He read my tagline :) He knew what he wanted and made a way,
full points and I hope to see some copycat modding going on hehe :)
one thing though, how come all your pics end up sideways? not too bad when I'm on netbook, but my phone has auto-screen tilt and main monitors too entrenched to turn on its side 😛
Moto

Okay guys. Here's my brand new machine. I haven't done any real modding yet, just replacing stock fans with red LED ones.

fx8120 CPU
1 XFX 6850 GPU
Crosshair V mobo
16GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance RAM
120gb Corsair ForceGT SSD
1TB 7200 RP Seagate Barracuda HDD
Corsair HX (I swore I ordered the AX series...) 850w PSU

I've also got two 4 inch cold cathode red lights coming in on Monday.
