It would look better if the psu was oriented the right way...

^ What he said.

There is no right way to orient the PSU, if you look at the other side of the PSU, the sticker should be upside down so that if you flip it with the fan up, it appears right side up. That means both ways can be used. I use fan down due to haveing plenty of space and a vent at the bottom of the case, plus I don't want to drop screws into it, but fan up still works.

The main reason why people prefer to face their psu's downwards is so its easier to manage the cables coming from the power supply.

If your psu is right side up that means you have to run the cables across the psu to the management holes, instead of straight into the holes when facing downwards. For fully modular power supplies this doesn't matter but for non modulars it sure does :) (especially short non modular cables, E.G. 8pin cpu)

Atleast thats what I always thought mattered the most.

+1 Exactly the point.

Since the psu is the single most important part of a computer it gets it's own source of cold air and exhausts it directly out of the case effectively removing it from the "airflow" equation.

Yup because if its face up, its pulling the hot air from your GPU into the PSU unit.

Of course that accounts for something, but since 90% of all modern cases have that same feature its kinda mundane to say that.

Which is why I mentioned the whole cable management point 😛

That depends on what type of cooling mechanism your GPU uses. Typical shroud coolers exhaust hot air out the back, so the PSU is pulling in the same "cool" air that the GPU is. If you have one of those open coolers then yes, it would be pulling in recirculated air.

^ that's very true , also sum my be running water blocks on there GPUs.... We still have the hot air from the HDD being pulled to that area from the front fans.

Shurgs One mans up is another Mans down

+2

Sure, but its still pulling in that same cool air that is much needed by the GPU/s

Much better them each having their own supply of cool air rather than sharing it IMO.

But of course *Adjusts monocle and top hat* this is only viable for computers that are not on carpet, which is what fan facing up is good for.

Bloody hell, looking at some PC's here makes me jealous. I've got a crap load of cables and tried to organize it with some tie wraps, looks a little better now, but it's still quite messy. Antec's P160 case isn't really suitable when it comes to hiding a crap load of cables. ^^

The guys can help you M8 ( MoTo And a few other helped me clean but my case ) and i am proud of it 😛

Look M8 it went from this > http://s1154.photobucket.com/albums/p535/Niklas_13/?action=view&current=599284_219837641471288_1120418279_n1.jpg

There hear to help you, TH is a grate place

Looks better...

Take the sata cables and try to get them to route through the same access holes so that they come out behind the 5.25" drive bays. Don't be afraid to bend the cables.

Remove the rear fans 3/4 pin from the H100 and either use a mobo's header or route it up and over the board so that it's behind the tray and use 3/4 pin to molex.

You did well SkilledBlood.

Looking sleek and tidy 😉

Thank you very much 😀

GTX670
Asus Xonar Essence STX
New LED case fans
And maybe Red Cold Cathodes

& It will be ready 😀

Not to mention .. The beast - Razer Tiamat 7.1

What do you mean with the rear fan 3/4 pin? Sorry I'm a little slow lol
