[citation][nom]master_chen[/nom]Of course. It is actually worth even more than that, IMHO. I'd buy it even if it got 40$ price, because that would be it's actual balance on price per quality and content it affords.Simply putting: right now, when you pay 20$ for one copy of Torchlight II, you get at least 150% of quality and content for that money....[/citation]
I still love torchlight 2, but it's not THAT marvelous. It's worth the asking price for sure, but it does have its share of bugs. Just a few I've noticed today for instance:
1) When running from the beginning of the game to the Enclave, you can't shiftclick items from the shared chest - you'll have to relog or something to fix it.
2) When you open a portal near a waypoint, it'll spawn a portal on the waypoint as well.
3) the runic games homepage redirects directly to a page that sells TL2. When you're there you can only go to the support pages, which'll give you forum and kb access and nothing more. If you click the links back to runic from there you'll end up back at the buying page. So if you want to know what the latest 160mb patch does, you're out of luck. You can't even register an account without having to start the game and click the manage account button from ingame (means you can't do multiplayer until you figure that out, and the kb article doesn't mention where to find the bolded links it mentions).
Edit:
4) I forgot to mention that cloud support (steam) seems to be bugged - at least for me. It only synced one character yesterday, and while it said it failed to sync when starting it at home it still had synced it and the stash. But it fails syncing all the time. *
5) Also the game client is prone to crashing if your network connection is not stable whilst playing multiplayer, and even when it's stable it's possible that you get an 'Out of memory' message box prompted upon which the game shuts down when hitting the OK button. Almost makes me wonder if leftover 3DO staff coded the game.
In short - it's not perfect, it's merely great fun.
* might have something to do with me 'duping' and memory hacking a little bit, but it's unlikely unless I've misunderstood how steam cloud works.
