Toshiba satellite a100 cmos battery

Hello,
Where is the cmos battery located on a toshiba satellite a100 laptop

Very near to the Touchpad right under the keyboard.
See the purple Ring like thing above the Audio ports, that the CMOS battery, but, before you go and do anything to it, the question is why?
It is not going to clear any passwords.
You will need to short jumpers for that.

laptop will not keep correct time after setting it,I'm told that the probable cause is the cmos

I have opened the case to access the battery, but now am in need of guidance of how to replace the battery.

I've come to this because the laptop will not power on - no lights, nothing. P/S tests fine on voltmeter.
