Hey guys!
I heard and read a lot about the danger of touching the golden contacts/fingers of the RAM memory and the circuit board of the Hard Drive, MotherBoard, GPU or any other important parts of the system. The fact is : I'm building my first computer and just bought the pieces. There's no warning or protector on the board of some of the pieces I bought and I accidently touch some delicate parts.
1. While trying to remove the memory stick (RAM) from it's little box, I barely touched the gold contacts at the bottom of it with the very tip of my finger for about a second.
2. While getting my HDD out of the box, I handled it like it was jus a piece of metal but didn't realize the green circuit under it was important. It's a bare drive and no instructions or anything came with it. I hold it and put some fingers on the board for only a few seconds.
Is it bad for the pieces? (If my fingers weren't oily or dirty or anything) Can I clean it or something?
