Hi everyone, I am using Packard Bell ENTG71BM laptop. I have installed Windows 10 on it and now the touchpad doesn't work. When I was installing Windows 10, the cursor disappeared on the installation screen where I was supposed to select Language and accept Microsoft terms. I got stuck right there but after reading several online solutions I found that external mouse was a best solution to my problem. I used a wireless mouse and windows installed perfectly. However, after the installation I found that touchpad is not working. Unfortunately I couldn't even find the Synaptics Touchpad Drivers from Packard Bell website but I found and downloaded one from Synaptics website which I am not sure if it is compatible with my device because after installation it gives me this two messages
1. "Synaptics (Syn TP) Mouse... ready to use".
2. "Synaptics (Syb Drv) Syt.. updated.
But still, the touchpad is not working and also the driver is not listed under Programs and Features in the Control Panel. Even under Device Manager the driver is not there. Please help, my head is about to crack.

Solution
Thanks guys I got a solution. I actually found that I had picked a wrong Touchpad mode in the UEFI settings. I had selected Advanced mode so after choosing Basic option the touchpad started working. Thanks once again for your suggestions guys.
If your manufacturer doesn't supply the needed driver, nobody else is going to. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Maybe you can learn to live with the mouse, if not, you'll have to go back to whatever Windows version that laptop came with originally.

Open the Settings menu (Start > Settings) and go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Additional mouse options.
The Mouse Properties window will open. Click the tab furthest to the right (it may be called ELAN or Device Settings). Under Devices check to see that your touchpad is not disabled. If it is disabled, click the touchpad to select it and then click Enable.

Thanks Many. I tried your suggestion but neither ELAN, Device Settins or Synaptics is shown. Only the mouse is listed under mouse properties but no touchpad is listed
