I have the exact same issue as this guy: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/tp-link-archer-ac1300-not-recognised-by-pc.2655741/ and like this guy, it's my first time posting here as well. However, the fix in the comments doesn't work because I can't install the drivers since neither device manager nor the driver software can detect my card. I have three unknown PCIe devices listed in device manager, none of which are the WiFi card (disconnected to check). I've tried two PCIe x1 slots and neither allow the card to be recognized. The green LED on the card is lit, so it is on. What could be the issue here other than it's defective?

We're going to need more info thatn what you've posted. List your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard?

I appreciate it, but it turns out this card would not work no matter what I did until I moved it out of its PCIe x1 slot into an x16 {only two my mobo has). Once I did, it worked flawlessly.
