Simple premise: I want to edit the photos hosted in a folder on one computer via other computers on the local network.
Issue: Photos will not save after edits- show as read only.

All computers are windows 10 v.1903

I work for a company that hosts photos we take in house on a PC. In the past we then would edit those photos via other local network PC's. We just swapped the computer we are hosting the photos on. I have gone down the rabbit hole of permissions and security settings to no avail. Everyone and their brother has full permissions to do anything to these files. I own the files and am an admin. Security settings have been messed with. The network PC's pretty easily could see the files after a few tweaks to settings. Editing is another matter it seems. Any thoughts?

Note: I work on computers for a living. Not a Windows God- but I'm a lifelong Windows user, I can troubleshoot with the best of em, use the internet to get out of most situations, etc. This one is stumping me.

Seriously, have you considered using the Public folders/libraries and opening sharing on these for the material you have need to edit remotely?

I have found this a much easier solution when I need to give pretty much open access to a given collection of files within my own private network on one or more machines.

THIS DID THE TRICK. Exact same settings as the Pictures folder, but Public Pictures actually worked. Thanks. So strange why there is such a barrier on certain paths for file sharing. Security loopholes I guess.
