Basically what happened was me and my older brother was changing the GPU on my pc. we took out the old one and put in his old GPU (the 2060). When we were going to boot the system up there was no output from the GPU. I tried to troubleshoot for hours but to no prevail. So my final option before giving up was to ask for help. So please help me I’m losing my mind :)

How old is that 500 watt CoolerMaster PSU? History of heavy use for gaming?

Was the power off and the system unplugged when the GPUs were swapped?

Did you directly download the RTX2060 drivers via Nvidia's website, manually install the drivers, and configure according?

Did you try another known working video cable between GPU port and monitor?

If you reinstall the original/old GTX1660 does it still work?

The PSU is from last year as I bought my pc in September
The power was off and the cable was unplugged
But I didn’t install or uninstall any type of driver
I’m not that smart with computers and I was assisted by my brother who is a bit more tech savvy than me.

I
So both GPUs don' work in your PC now? How it was before you put 2060 in - was 1660 working or? Have you made sure at least one of GPUs works in brother's PC? Is the PC behavior same with both cards (runs but no output)?
the 1660 and 2060 worked just fine before this.
I haven’t tested them in his pc but they both should be working
The behavior is the same for both cards, the pc starts everything spins and lights up as it should then after a while it reboots. After it’s on again it runs normally with no output

Specifically what happens or does not happen when you reinstall the 1660?

Are you able to get into BIOS?

Is your brother still helping you?
The pc boots than reboots and after in runs normally with no output
I may be able to get into bios but I’m not able to see anything on the screen
My brother is available to help but right now I’m the only one trying to fix the issue

You must be more methodical with your troubleshooting.

First establish for certain that each GPU works in your brother's computer.

If so that establishes that the problem is with your computer.

Second, try your video cables on his computer to ensure that they are working.

Get him to help.

Try to narrow down the problem.

The Display port cable works and both the GPUs are good
