Issue: My computer occasionally has trouble booting. Sometimes, it powers on, but there is no display output, and the DRAM check light stays on. Resetting the CMOS resolves the issue temporarily. I've noticed that this problem seems to be related to the XMP profile on my DDR5 RAM, which is rated at 6000 MHz. Interestingly, the issue doesn't occur when I clock the RAM at 4800 MHz.

Specs:

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor, 3801 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
  • CPU Cooler: EK AIO Basic 240 77 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Motherboard: MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard (Latest BIOS version installed)
  • Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
  • Storage:
    • Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
    • Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
  • Video Card: NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB Video Card
  • Power Supply: Corsair SF750 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply
I suspect that there might be compatibility issues with the DDR5 RAM at its rated 6000 MHz speed. It's worth noting that I have the latest BIOS version installed on my motherboard.

I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on how to resolve this issue or if anyone has experienced a similar problem with DDR5 RAM or this specific motherboard. Thank you!
