Hi, sorry to bother you but I am having a problem with my
computer. After I installed my BTYahoo Broadband software
and hardware a problem occured it takes a while to load
anything and the screen often acts clunky as if the
memory is low. However I have very little installed (over
27 GB free on my HD ) my computer has a 1.6Ghz Processor
and 768MB RAM.

A major factor of this is when i open 'My Computer' it
takes a very long while to load up and when it finally
does it does not show my scanner or my webcam
It cant be anything to do with the USB ports; not only
because the scanner is parallel connected but also I have
already folowed a Microsoft article advising unplugging
other USB devices and the switching of the WMI doesnt
help either.

Oh and I have defragged, performed clean-up as well and
cleared up any adware.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Usually when a system suddenly bogs down the first thing to do is to make
sure your antivirus software is up to date and scan for viruses.

Also check for any malware, download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

If that comes up clear, check the event log for persistent errors, errors
that seem to occur on a regular basis. Open Control Panel, open
Administrative Tools, open Event Viewer, check the various sections for
errors as specified, double click any such error, the information within may
give a clue as to the source of the issue.

Hi Glen,
You may have spyware onm your computer you are not aware of.
I would download Adware and then look for updates then run the Adware
program to rid your computer of spyware that thats up resorces on your
computer.
